  • really nice tips

  • Doesn't look very safe dripping the oil onto the burners around the deep fryer. Use a plate or something to cover the burners. OMG. You could burn down the house with a grease fire.

  • @9aspengold5 Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video OMG!

  • @kcfreeloader p.s. I did enjoy the recipe and the video

    anyway.

  • I'm really glad to find this. I'm new to low carb eating and I'm glad to see that I won't have to permanently part ways with my favorite cuisine, Mexican food! Looks tasty. Good work!

  • @KrispyFistful Good luck in your new way of eating. Hope you got to try them. Check out my new low carb channel KCcarbfree. It's kind of quite now but i plan to upload more soon.

  • thanks very much. 5 stars and looking forward to trying them :)

  • This looks GREAT!!! 2 ? What type of deep fryer do u have? How many times do u use the oil before changing?

  • Thanks! The deep fryer is a GE that I got at walmart. It just has the dial that you turn. If I had it to do over again I would by one of the digital models, though this one works just fine.

That oil had cooked about 90 full chicken wing(minus the little tips) and two chimichangas prior to the ones in the demo. I had filtered it once through cheesecloth to remove some of the bits.

  • I've since cooked up about 6 chicken breasts worth of porkrine breaded chicken strips and the oil still tastes fairly neutral and is not impacting the flavor of the food much. You can usually buy the peanut oil in bulk (for turkey fryers) around thanksgiving quite a bit cheaper. In fact you could probably get the left over oil and maybe some of the used only one time oil from the neighbors right after thanksgiving.

  • WOW! This looks FABULOUS!!! Thank you!!!

  • Thanks Jimmie, hope you can try them! They look fabulous and taste twice as good as they look!
