i live past billy pyle on burnett ferry. alittle futher & that area wasnt tuched but we did lose power. me, my sister, & mother actually was driving around trying see if we would see it, but only saw the damage after. I actually was in one of them, on my way to work & thank GOD i pulled over into someones drive way because I wouldve got hit by some trees if i wouldve kept driving.
@shellisa04 I wasnt in a tornado, but i forget what its called. it did some damage though. i think its called a wall cloud or Mesocyclone & they can do alot of damage. all i saw was gray all around me & leave & sticks hitting the car.
rome did not get any tornado damage from that night when it hit ringgold, just debris from it.. this is footage from that morning when a gush of wind came through and wiped out most of west rome, berry, and other places. i was getting out of my car when it came through and it nearly took the door off. some people say it was a tornado, others say it was just severe wind. it took out several trees in my neighborhood, and caused our power to be out for two days. we were lucky it was just wind...
It was a macroburst, aka straight-line winds.

You showed my house! Luckily, nobody in the neighborhood was hurt. BTW, this is Rome, GA. The subdivision is Brookwood Estates off of Burnett Ferry.
