this movie DEFINES what the 90's were like. all you kids now that are watchin this, the scenery and just everything about this movie is how the 90's was. So glad I was apart of it, it was definitely one of those decades that was classic and will be missed. The final years of no internet, it was glorious and fun. Arcades for gaming and yes OUTSIDE playing, something kids these days know nothing of.

I really miss being a kid in the 90's where we had movies before all the CGI crap. Kids don't need that to enjoy a movie. I used to watch this and the second one obsessively as a kid and now I'm in a huge Ninja Turtles phase and reading all the original comics and loving them, and I'm 25 lol. TMNT will always have a special place in my heart =)

I had never heard of it, didn't know what to expect, and man did my parents ever actually regret renting it for me and my younger siblings. The 80's fans and 2k3 fans seem to hate and bash each other all the time, yet there is one thing both group of fans love: THIS movie. It is, like, a mixture of the first cartoon and the comics. Like in the cartoon, April is a reporter, and the Turtles are comical. But like the comics, it follows a similar storyline and is serious.

@tag1989 Huh...if your'e talking about the cgi film that they made in 2007 it wasn't a remake. It was actualy a sequel to these live action features.

Altough the movie currently in development is a reboot. It's up the air now but the original intention was to follow the mold of the '03 tv and be even closer to the original comics and not the campy 80s series so it could be great. Unless you're a nostagia kid who hates on every "new" version.

@tag1989 The upcoming movie will be live action with guys in suits but use small amounts of cgi to animate faces etc. CGI has been used in movies for years, hell even non genre movies use it and the audience doesn't know.

TMNT is being rebooted because the original creator. This is a great movie and I give it propes given the obvious pressure to make it 100% like the cartoon BUT it can be done better especialy given Hollywood's current trend of adapting comics more faithfully.
