@ad1170 Yes, he's straight edge. I think he is Ian McKay straight edge, the original version. I'm straight edge too, and I follow that outline, no drugs, no alcohol, no prescription drugs (unless prescribed by a doctor for medical reasons.) and no smoking. The promiscuous sex thing most SxEx kids will argue over, a lot say it is, and vice versa. McKay was okay with the sex, I'm the same way, Tim's married so that kind of leaves it out of the option for him. Variations today also say no swearing.

I have MS, and have to take a shot every night, and since I was diagnosed I have had mild anxiety because it has made me kind of paranoid about every ache and pain I have, so I take Xanax, which I have a prescription for, and it calms me down and I can relax/function normally. I would never touch it if I didn't have that script for it. If I never was diagnosed I would never touch any kind of pill. You know what they say tho, "how we survive, is what makes us who we are..." =)

It's so much fun to see these guys playing their instruments and singing and running around with such lively energy, it really is contagious and adds to the performance. But nothing is better than one man on a stage, with his guitar, singing a love song to an audience who adores him. I think Tim is at his very best when he just stands there and sings to us. He has our attention no matter what.

I just realized that Tim has the arm band a little below his elbow so that he could avoid direct contact with the guitar and not worry about getting grease and sweat all over it on the body. That's a really smart idea that I might try since I always have to wipe the edge of my guitar where my arm comes into contact with it.

from Rise Against starting in 1999, being such a small band, they have come so far, There acually on MTV live, gathering 85k fans. I wonder if they ever knew they would gain so many people. Tim acually has a wonderful voice with out autotuing it, he writes his own songs, and knows how to play the guitar. thats pure talent there.
