@Kimzuh - It should be a rewarding career, but I'm not sure that there are too many jobs for guidance counselors :) Some states also require a person to also have a teaching degree along with experience and the counselor education to possibly get the job. If still interested, Please only consider programs in counselor education accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.
