@jdfranny - people live on the earth just as plants and animals do. when the choices we make change the environment, it has a lasting impact on our quality of life as well. i take it that since you're commenting on youtube videos in english you live a fairly comfortable life in comparison to the vast majority of the people on the globe. if you get a chance, i highly recommend traveling to some of the less fortunate regions. you'll be able to see what kind of an impact our choices really have.
humans inherited the earth. this newly emerged dogma that people are equal to animals and plants is just ridiculous. you won't get anywhere with this logic. have compassion and love for people (not the plants and animals) and everything else will be okay. putting nature above human life will not solve any of our problems so don't let your heart be broken by documentaries such as these. love people first and foremost and just respect nature. that's how it should be.
the film is trying to educe people to take a close look of the place where we have done to it. But I hope it should post to a series program on TV regularly report what it happens so far. I never know we have done such a terrible damage by throwing away things unconcernedly. So, I think it is all about the environment of our own, we have the responsibility to do something together to make the earth more suitable for living things to live on.
Hopefully this movie will help people realize how ambiguously beautiful the world has become, and more complex than just the usual "GREEN-SAVE the WORLD from HUMANS" masochistic mantra !!!
