After a 2-1/2 week trial in November 2006, two of the young fishermen were convicted of arson; each received a year of house arrest. They also were required to pay $5,000 each to compensate for the damage to the drug dealer's home. One of the fishermen was convicted on one count of dangerous use of a firearm and sentenced to 6 months house arrest. Another was given 6 months probation for his lesser charge, improper storage of a firearm. On all other charges, the men were found not guilty.

Provocation, self-defense, and extenuating circumstances, along with a strong desire to protect the children of the island, forced these local heroes to take the action law enforcement would not. These young fishermen paid dearly for their actions, and the island has been a much more peaceful place ever since.

Oh my , who wrote this song? It is quite the song .This song makes for a good urban legend. If had it had really happened like the song says , they would be in jail for a long time .
