that scene where she loses it after failing to sell the house is absolutely unbelievable. sometimes you get to that point, and as much as i don't want to admit it, it hits close to home. the best performances remind us things about ourselves that we might not want to confront.
This movie showed the world better than anything... life in American, in a Western Style Democracy, totally sucks for everyone on so many levels. Its just one rotten empty hell and it keeps getting worse and worse.
I was trying to put this clip into a power point presentation for a class project. It says that the embeding is deactived. I was wondering if you can enable it again asap so I can use it for my presentation on Carolyn? Thanks
I love the scene where Carolyn gives life advice to Jane, talking about the only person you can count on is yourself, and how when she was growing up she lived in a duplex. ...Hilarious.
i have been looking for that scene! that part where she was crying! thank you so much!. i loved how after she cried, she walked away so much poise as if nothing happened.
definitely one of the few actresses that are really good. meryl streep and emma thompson are the other 2 for me. :O

Those two tracks overlapping at the end is beautifully haunting...

Another notable example of the best actress NOT winning the Oscar.
