Where i live (in Oslo, Norway) thy pick up the garbage ones in a week and few times after christmas, or like those kind of days its not often they dont pick the trash for over 9 days.. thats rare.. but if it happend, well, than we use our own trailer to drive it to the dump-place.. =)
Do they still use those awsome Burgundy and white wastemanagement garbage trucks i just love those when they used them all over, if anybody wants you can go on facebook type in I wish waste management would go back to burgundy and white and join maby they will that would be awsome :)
all waste management wanted to do was make the union members take some responsibility for their actions. I was there and they had no clue they were fighting over things they were already doing. I was there from begining to end, it lasted a month and a half. Also we are not scabs we are waste management employees that were chosen to cover the union employees until they came to an agreement.
Waste Mgmnt & Teamsters belong together, bunch of worthless thugs!
Let's get rid of the unions and most of all, get rid of Wasteful Mgmnt. Let's get real and go back to the little guys who used to care about and take pride in the job!
all waste management is trying to do is make their drivers responsible for their actions. It makes the union stronger if they can get rid of the BAD employees.
I work with Laborer Union, Operators Union, Cement Masons, and the Teamsters. We have great relations with all the unions except the Teamsters. The teamster employees are 100% of personnal problems, 100% workman comp claims. As they retire or quit we do not rehire Teamsters. We have nothing against the unions it's just the Teamsters.
There is not use continuing to do business with Waste Mgt. Get rid of them and let the little guys start hauling trash again. The Bay area has plenty of cities that could band together and do the garbage thing without Waste Mgt.
