I can't believe how culturally ignorant my generation is (I'm 17), to not even know of such great works as Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera, or this proceeding film adaption some years later. It's revolting, and awful that most people have never read a book older than themselves, or seen a movie that was made before 1960. What a waste, my generation.
