Anyway, I came here to post this; there seems to be a few negative comments regarding this ad, that Hopper sold out. Well let's just say this, it was his product, Easy Rider was his movie, he could do what the hell he wanted with it. Besides what would you rather have had, this ad or the idea he floated around in the 80s-A sequel set in the future after the bomb had dropped in which Hopper and Fonda are resurrected??! I know what I'd rather!

@TheCougarV6 this advert is a betrayal of everything the film was about.what a sell out.Hooper should have joined the band Metallica when Newstead left such is his like of selling out.Fonda had the last laugh when he saw this advert.The ad should have ended with the words,"he blew it" across the screen.

Cool commercial! It's a shame that the Cougar didn't do well here in the U.S.; personally, I liked it better than the Mustang during the Cougar's age. The Cougar I thought looked better, and it would have been a good replacement for the Probe, or even the Puma would have been a good replacement. Why Ford didn't keep this car, I'll never know.

I think this spot would have been better if Peter Fonda had appeared too...but it keeps being a great spot!

And talking about Peter Fonda...his character in "Ghost Rider" was great. The film is a piece of crap but he's great!

I was watching the film "Elegy" and had a "flash-back" to Dennis Hopper in Easy Rider and recalled this ad on my last UK visit in 1994.
