I have a cream colored clip on one. But this pinku/murasaki one is not a clip on type and i tied it myself. I have come along way since i first took this video. I have near perfected the chocho musubi and hope to someday learn the Otaiko musubi.
@greenhousegirl oh wow thats so cool. One of my obis are a weird shape (it starts off thick and ends up thinner and has like a trangular pocket in the middle) i have no idea how to tie it, any ideas?
Your yukata is very pretty! One thing though, did you use towels underneath your obi, or not? I was just wondering, because you don't really look all that waistless to me.
Yeah the goal is to have a waistless body. There's a good video you can watch called How To Dress Yukata & Kimono by ichiroyajapan and it tells you everything you need to know about yukatas. I wish I had a yukata! You're so lucky!
Hey : ) Yeah, deff.. I'm actually thinking of making a few night trip to Fukuoka this summer : ) So If I do I'm going to pick one up : D and more Mango Fanta ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
you should buy one, even if you don't like it then you could always get a new one (but keep the koshi himo and obi and such). yukata them selves aren't that expensive (about $20)... its the accessories that make it seem expensive! ;)
I think they would look nice on just about anyone...
Wah sugoi! It's beautiful! I purchased a yukata on ebay too! but I didn't received it yet, in the other part I received my obi, I can't tie it correctly! Hope you'll do a 'How to tie an obi' video hahaha ^_^
i'm makin 1 right now lol but i have only purchised the material i ish only makin one cuaze i'm 190 and 5,2" lol i'll tell yoo if it is gard or not lol
Was your obi one of those 'pre-tied' obis? The type where the obi is shorter and has two strings on it and you just clip the bow on the back? Yeah, I've got one but can't remember how to tie the pre-tied obi. (I had to ask my guide for help the first and only time I've worn it!)
video mais babaca que já vi, qual o significado?

did you buy a clip on obi, because its looks very similar to my friend's who has a clip on one. If its not, whoever tied your obi is amazing

The bow looks great! I'm terrible at tying the bows; they always come out weird. xD. At least I'll know how to put one on if I go to Nippon. :D

Hello~ Looks nice. Your ohashori - or the fold under the obi needs to be a little more straight.
Keep practicing! :D

No, i had to try to do it by myself. Its 11 feet long! obi's are really hard to put on... so i recently purchased a pre-tied on for Halloween!
