@Windmills618 NO, that's not how to get strenght and speed in your fingers. You must practice the scales everyday for 5 to 6 hours with a metronome until you can run the scales up and down the neck of the guitar without difficulty. I mean fluid movement hitting the notes or if you can do it with hammer ons and pull offs and eventually get enough speed and strength in your fingers to do the same thing as the guy on the video. Dont worry if you start slow, your speed will build up gradually.
@t0v3 It takes practice. I knew a guy who was already doing stuff like this in the 10th grade and he just plays like this too. That was a long time ago even before fusion was born. His guitar teacher teaches him to do the scales (dorian. locrian, ionian, mixolydian, lydian, phrygian, pentatonic, melodic, harmonic, chromatic, octatonic, diatonic, hexatonic, heptatonic, etc) with a metronome and that's all he did throughout the year. Everyday running scales with his fingers for 5 hours.
@t0v3 that kind of attitude is what destroys your musical talent. you have to learn to take these kind of things into a point that makes you wanna get better. even famous guitarist still a fan of another and of course adapt to their style of playing. they take them into their life as a inspiration/boost to improve their skills. practice makes perfect.

you really shouldn't cuz if you break it down and truly work on it, in time you'll learn things in this neighborhood.
all it takes is practice, patience and dedication.
never be discouraged by flurries of 16th/32th notes....ever.
if you cant do that, then play the best you can.
because technique don't make music, expression does...technique only helps you get the feeling across.
