On December 24 at 8:00 in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Johnson was found dead. Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened. Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter. If you don't repost this to six videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. Sorry don't want to die...
This review hit it right on the head.. so what if the jerseys are shinier... the players look like cartoons, and the crowd is freaking horrid... people dont move like that at the same time... and besides they have too many cloned people. 2k9 is so much better overall.. people are going to waste so much time with the my player and atleast i can say i dont have to be so desperate. 2k9 FTW!
I have a ps2 and I love The Show, but I preffer PC graphics so I enjoy playing 2k9 since it's the only one available (I can't afford to buy a new console)
@Adelaide1994 (Part 1), First of all I will say that I love, love "The Show." BUT do you take into consideration the overall presentation of both "MLB the Show 09" and "MLB 2k9"?
Have you compared the way it looks presentation-wise with an actual real life broadcast baseball game? Because "MLB 2k9" actually does it better than "The Show." Please continue to read to understand my reasoning.
@Adelaide1994 (Part 2), Game play may be a different story, but visually, I truly feel like I am watching an actual baseball game on TV when I look at "MLB 2k9." The commentary, cuts scene, and from a director's stand point, MLB 2k9 visually & audibly sounds much more like what I see on TV.
Again, don't get me wrong, I LOVE "The Show," but presentation wise, hands down "MLB 2k9" feels more like a television baseball broadcast. Remember, commentary is a BIG part of watching baseball on TV.
@Adelaide1994 (Part 3) However, from what I have heard, "The Show 10" will be making improvements in their presentation broadcast. They will be using "Real Time Flow." They have added this feature because it will make the game look more like a true broadcast baseball game.
If MLB 09 is "1000 times better," why do you think the crew at "MLB The Show" decided to add this "Real Time Flow" to increase broadcast realism in their game, "The Show"? A lot of this is already seen in MLB 2k9.
@Adelaide1994 (Part 4) Another example that I will point out is what the batter's do in between pitches. Look at the batter's demeanor or behavior. And compare this to a real baseball game. Player's step off the plate (or out of the batter's box) in MLB 2k9. They take their time getting ready for the next pitch just like they do in real life.
@Adelaide1994 (Part 5) In "The Show," most of the batter's simply stay inside the box and are rather quickly ready for the next pitch. This unfortunately does not replicate what happens with real life baseball players. This is one IMPORTANT area where "The Show" needs to make improvements in order to provide a more authentic baseball feel.
well i play on highest difficulty, and i get about 9 strikeouts per game. the trick is to pitch to the corner of the strike zone. half the ball out and half the ball in, umps will call that strike.
for walks, i just turn down the sliders, something called pitch strike tendency i think
This looks so much better than the ps3 or xbox360 versions {and i have a hd tv} this was a decent game {but I have mlb 09 the show} on the consoles, but it looks good on pc, and it's only 20 bucks.
