Recuerdo muy bien en mi adolescencia esta carrera precisamente por esa loca frenada de Schwantz y 20 años despues la vuelvo a ver... me pregunto, ¿porque Kevin Schwantz gano solo un campeonato mundia de motociclismo ? merecia ganar mas !! de todos modos creo que siempre sera recordado entre los grandes.

yeah i like how everyone beats up on stoner coz there just too stupid to realize how good he is.. he killed it first season with ducati and every team mate he got, as good as there are/were.. could not even stay close to him.. though his best teammate in ducati in my books was loris capirossi.. rossi is stuggling on the ducati, sum peeps may say rossi had an injury coming into the season, but face facts.. stoner rode the shit out of that ducati and made them great. i bet they miss him now.

Valentino Rossi has won 100 Races, he's the first human being who has won championships with motorcycles of 5 different cubic capacities and of 4 different championships. He won a championship in 500cc with a Honda which wasn't exactly of the official team (the official Hondas weren't canary yellow) and he went to Yamaha a tad ago because he was tired of winning on such an insultant way. HE'S THE BEST RIDER OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP, so don't say bullshit about him. He could actually handle a 500cc

WRONG. Rossi went to Yamaha because he made a salary demand to Honda that would fund a 3rd world country. Honda told him to pull his head in or fuck off, and Yamaha almost went broke (and eventually had to stop their Formula 1 development programme) because they made the mistake of paying him too much.

AND then, Rossi went on to embezzle 110 Million pounds in taxes.

Continuing with that: In that race, he had a drive thru penalty and lost 25 seconds. He finished second a bit away from first after taking 15 seconds in 10 laps. Tell me if that's insulting or not

@Ocampa Stoner is sometimes just awesome. Unfortunately he crashes a lot lately but whne he got everything right he's hard to beat. He said he lost all respect for Schwantz because he made fun of him when he was sick. I couldn't believe that people said so much crap about Stoner! He was really sick and he couldn't recover. Whatever it was everybody saw after the races that he was totally exhausted! Schwantz had broken bones and pains but he was otherwise in good physical condition!

@22j77 When everything comes together for Stoner (which is rare these last few years) he is faster than any of the others on their best day. If he could get that Ducati working at other tracks the way he does at Philip Island he would be unstoppable.

Schwantz on the brakes was simply awesome. In some races where he was ahead of a rival, he actually extend a gap, purely on braking performance, where the rider behind would usually close up going into the hairpins. o_O
