I saw the movie recently too, and I really did enjoy it. The lovey dovey character of the guy not my thing, but it wasn't for the female character either...it made me smile though because it was endearing, and good for her character.
You can tell that Tyler Perry takes his experience & learns from it. And you know what? All the movies doubling as comedy & drama, it felt like madea was missing and it felt empty but this movie was just GOLD! madea was like the icing on the cake made out of heaven in this movie.

I enjoyed it too. I saw it twice. I don't care what folks say about Tyler, I love his movies.
I also liked that he featured some very dark skinned people. I love it. But Tyler general feature the spectrum of Black hues.
