great set up and thanks for the info if I can help let me know I use commercial equipment to tx rx that's modded for my type of fcc certifications you know what I mean.
I wanted to also say that my PSR-600 digital trunking scanner (same as Pro-197) has this feature built-in from the factory. This is something I rely heavily on when listening to my scanner, and the LED in these units is a multi-color LED capable of several different colors.
I use green for sheriff, blue for police, red for fire, light blue for EMS, purple for ham radio, etc, etc. This is an excellent method of not only determining which scanner is active, but what type of traffic is active.
Excellent feature to have on any scanner or radio, especially if you have more than one radio device operating at a time. This is truly a helpful feature to incorporate into any scanner :)

Cool mod...i still have a 2006 as well...display is pretty dim tho,but still works well.
