  • Even Sigourney admits that 2001: A Space Odyssey is shit. I love her even more now.

  • conclusion: People were pussy's back then.

  • @LifterC3

People those days haven't watched such movie as this. If you lived in 1979 you would find this movie terriffying not because you're pussy but because of culture aspects of those times.

  • @MetalScull thanks for clarifying the word pussy for me

  • SPACE JOCKEY

  • im with Ivor, are the aliens weapons, was th crash the result of an accident as was suggested by the burst ribs of the Space Jockey? I WANT TO KNOW MORE! hehe

  • @RandyLahey911 Soposebly they were engineered by the space jockey to take out civilizations... we will find out in the upcoming film prometheus

  • @jesus89vald that was definitely the inference, or at least the Space Jockeys had found them and were using them in the same way Weyland Yutani wanted to, and so the ships destruction on LV426 was a brilliant ill omen

  • @jesus89vald If I am not mistaken, what I had heard was that humans had engineered the aliens by what will be later be known as Weyland Industries. They planned to use them to clear out indigenous lifeforms on planetary scales. The Space Jockeys were inter-stellar travelers. I am very interested how these space jockeys are involved with the xenos. The fossilized jockey in that "chair" seems massive. I hope we get to see his complete story.

  • Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty screaming like little boys? I wish I could've been there to witness that! XD

  • sadly, i think, they're probably gonna demystify it

  • 2001 is crap, even Ripley doesnt like it!

  • @gardenofarcane

    2001 is a genre masterpiece!

  • ALways I looked at that SPace Jockey and wondered where did it come from? WHat was it? Its an amazing concept so deep. Hopefully Prometheus will address this.

  • Waiting for Prometheus

  • I knew it was a great movie, but had no idea it was a game changer until now.

  • @MaxPayne19146

Oh, for sure. The late 70s were absolutely transformative. Star Wars and Alien changed science fiction utterly. (The battered, lived-in look of much of the SW universe was very influential on Alien.) And the production values and quality of workmanship on "Alien" is just stellar. Barring one of two minor moments, that film still looks like it could have been made yesterday. It's shot and lit beautifully, the script is great, the performances are excellent and it all feels REAL.

  • I too wonder who they were the jockey alien and his crew, where did they come from, was the alien also a "eight passenger" to them ? etc, i would have loved to see or read more on it.

  • @ElAlexxis please keep that a secret!!!! i have my own theories, and i want it to remain a mystery...

  • When i was small, the other children was afraid of ghosts and witches while i was afraid of aliens in vents xD

  • man this movie was and still is one of my favriot classics

  • This video is Awesome

  • The last few minutes of this particular featurette. That basically tells you what Ridley is thinking for this Prequel. The End of One, will be the begining of This One.

  • @OpenMawProductions

sadly he gave that up for an original movie :/ when an alien prequel would be so awesome and could be original if he tried. I think he's afraid he can't match the original and one could understand that since this masterpiece was so powerful.

  • @LXQUICKJUSTICE Sorta. From some of the reports coming from the set, there are in fact Giger style aliens, and a space jockey. Its an Alien prequel, minus the Alien name. Its still of the "DNA of that film" as Sir Scott put it.

  • @OpenMawProductions

That thrills me if he does indeed go that way! But fox stopped marketing it as an alien prequel. If it has a space jockey of any sort I would still call that a prequel so who knows

  • @LXQUICKJUSTICE

I'm actually pretty intrigued by the idea of a slightly tangential story set in the same conceptual universe. I'm really hoping that it's a "first contact" science fiction story involving the Space Jockey race but barely touching on the classic xenomorph aliens at all. We'll have to wait and see.

  • @KaitainCPS I think you´ll get what you hope for
