I tried to look at the specs of this camera and I couldn't see the HD size, does it work on sd cards? Could i connect a portable drive instead (using usb cable?) thanks!
haha, just checked woot and decided to do a check of some test videos for this little camera.
Surprisingly enough, it produces very good sharp video. For the current price of $110 on woot, it's well worth it. The quality is as good as my Canon hg20 which I paid $400 several months ago.
Thanks for posting. This is the best test footage out there. I just ordered one from Woot tonight for $110. Not a bad deal. Was the native video shot on 720 mode? Lived in Chicago for 10 years. I think I recognized every shot :)
I'm planning on taking this out tomorrow to give it a run. I've seen several PD2BK test footage clips and I must say.. this one is the best quality by far. I'm assuming you're running 720p w/ image stabilization on, correct? I'd like to ensure I've configured my camera properly so that I may produce the best video quality possible.
I'm a fellow Wooter who's a bit down on the quality of this camera but this video has encouraged me to give it a second chance!

How would you say the quality is without re-compressing, and without youtubes compression on top of that. or how does raw footage look?
