no matter how many times i see this dude, his voice just doesn't match up to how he actually looks. even in this vid, i refuse to believe this isn't a voice over
None of these Niggas was around for the Playland arcade in 90, 91 till 97 when it closed. Niggas never put in work on SF2. Even though..Arturo is Annoying as fuck vocally but he gets it in though.
oh the old arcarde place at 42 st anyone thats been there like myself remember the "no farting sign" oh the i feel like crying :( i miss that place dont fart!
an arcade right in time square, I'd be there all the time. If I ever win the lotto I'll open one there. Even though the era is not arcade driven anymore a arcade in that location would do well just because time square is busy 24/7
Mhhh i guess the arcade scene in japan is still alive and in the us its almost dead but in the golden days fo the us arcades u had arcades everywhere any mall any supermarket everywhere .
unfortunately there's other people that dont see it this way, they think we americans are just not smart enough to play hardcore like the japanes... which is bullshit, the thing is our arcades are pretty much dissapearing... my local one was closed last week, it didnt had sf4 but it had a lot of fighting games like 3rd strike and cvs2 and mvc2.. now the local one is about 45 mins away and is the most popular in houston. planet zero
yeah is true, but is not just the consoles fault you know.. I mean we as americans do anything to save money.. is better for us to buy a 50 dollar game that we can play for almost ever instead of spending 10 bucks a week playing it at the arcades. In a way is our fault too.. I dream of openning my own arcade place, seriously is my dream. I just dont think is gonna work out.
but...the only reason people have the option to pay 50 bucks for a game they can play forever is...because of consoles! haha. It's true though that it's not totally consoles because they have the same consoles in Japan and their arcade seen is still going strong. I don't know if it's some kind of cultural difference or what, but I do wish the arcade scene was still strong in the States, I would definitely drop the money for the added experience if there were more near by with the latest games
You me and tons of other people would definitely drop our quarters into machines for the experience. I'm in Virginia and we really don't have anything but an arcade 45min away with mvc2 cvs1 and GGXX...
@Jay0yeah yeah, yeah, i hear "bring arcades back" this and that, but the owners of the arcades have to have a steady flow of players to come there regularly in order to turn profit. alot of you guys say you want arcades back but you don't realize that the arcade owner needs consistent flow in order to make any money. also, some of these capcom guys give proprietors a very hard time when it comes to maintaining the cabinet, it becomes distasteful. I'm speaking from being and arcade owner.
@McReins I understand it must be hard to run a arcade cause you definitely need a steady flow of people coming into the arcade. I live in NY and the only true blue arcade out here is Chinatown arcade. It surprises me to see its still open and hasn't gone under due to the low flow of people. There are some days when Chinatown arcade is overcrowded(Mostly after school hours and weekends Fri n Sat) I hope some way some how arcades will come back to America. Specially to NYC :)

I really enjoyed watching this interview.
I learned a lot just by watching Arturo talk about fighting games and video game competition.
I liked how he explain the differences between American and Japanese players in terms of how they play and such...
Great Interview!

That's true. Arcades in the U.S. are disappearing because home consoles have taken over. I hope more arcades come back to America.
