I totally agree with 5:07, professor Bryan Wolf, it's at the very heart of motivation to excel in your domain. It's good to see Universities actually investing in the undergraduate experience as opposed to felling the absolute need to expand, neglecting to provide a rich experience for the students. Go for it guys!

You go to Stanford to take advantage of the tools they give you, as long as you have cash, brains, and a powerful family behind you. It's not high school, it's where a shared group of individuals meet. You make connections at college, not respect diversity. Oh what do I know, I'm 14. Still, I want to head to Stanford afterwards. My Dad rakes in 250k a year and I have a scholarship to ucsd.

Wow really?  Almost no one is going to Stanford for the diversity, no one is going to Stanford to learn African tribal songs or to join these random clubs. they care way to much about diversity. It is twice as hard for a rich white kid to get in here because the school wants all of the minorities. Some can hardly speak english yet they get into the school because of their skin color

i got in with a 3.0 GPA. i still had a perfect 2400 on the SAT though, im just lazy. oh and my recommendation letters all said i was a genius so...

"All walks of life..."; Well, within a certain range of "types" of people that come from "well to-do" families. By "well to-do" I mean not by wealth, although it is a helpful factor, but familial support, and environmental factors also play an important role. Take note that each word used here can be dissected into many more things. Environmental is a very broad term, so is "familial-support." Point being; the mind prevails.

I love everything about this school. My only issue is that it's quite far from home so i wouldn't be able to fly home during summer and winter vacations as often if i attend a school in Florida. I hope to attend Stanford University after community college!!!!

over 500 hours of community service!

I didn't get into UCLA, which was my second choice, so I will be attending UC Berkeley instead, but i wanted to attend standford so freaking bad!
