You would be suprised how many of the high end guitars are made with asian components and imported woods. I have a Epi Les Paul Custom Custom I call it. it is a Epi les paul custom that I rewired and put good switch and my own propritory VOS wiring configuration based on the 50's Gibson wiring. Big oip caps and custom pickups from various supliers but i generally stear my client to Seymour Dunchans.

With a few hundred dollars in mods you can turn a epiphone les paul standard or any guitar in the mid upper mid priced range into an equal or better guitar than the top names and have three really nice guitars for the price of one of the high end brand name instruments. I do these mods for my friends and local musicians and some Nashville players and they are amazed at the quality of sound you can get out of these mid level to upper mid priced guitars from asia and some from europe and amerca.

Question:Why do guitars cost so much? Is it because of the material used to build, options on the guitar, sound? Or is any guitar good? (I'm a beginner)

@elpueblano009 its the material more expensive ones have more expensive and high quality material, they sound better, have better hardwar (pickups, tuners, bridges, etc), and are manufactured better the more you pay for them (usually, with companies like fender you pretty much just pay for the name)
