  • Wow that guy could have been President. In some parallel universe where Gore was President, I guarantee they are living under better circumstances.

  • Medieval America LOL. The new middle age accompanied by the new Maunder minimum.

  • Al Bore, you big, fat lying BLOWHARD!

What happened to the Earth's core being "millions and millions of degrees" as you state on Conan O'Brien.... If it were, the earth would be a star you MORON!

This fat "sex-crazed poodle" is the biggest HYPOCRITE around. I say he goes first...

AL BORE - do us all a favor - STOP EMITTING CO2!!!!

    FAT, DISGUSTING, LYING PIG!

  • Al Gore praises Yudhoyono, cites Indonesia's geothermal potential

    .

Nobel laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore on Sunday thanked Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for his vision, courage and leadership on climate change issues.

  • @Nightversionn Does he think that Indonesia has great geo-thermal potential, b/c this big fat moron believes the earth's core is "millions of degrees" as he stated on Conan O'Brien?

What a discredited, hypocritical, "sex-crazed poodle"

  • Fuck you Al Gore! You should be in PRISON! Free the marijuana offenders and imprison the real criminals!

  • I challenge Al [ do as I say,not as I do ] Gore to tell the truth

  • Climate change scams in the news:

  • How can there be Global Warming when its Global Cooling?

    2007 Year of Global Cooling

    Washington Times

Al Gore says global warming is a planetary emergency. It is difficult to see how this can be so when record low temperatures are being set all over the world. In 2007, hundreds of people died, not from global warming, but from cold weather hazards.

  • ye and of course GORE you aint got an interest in these companies,YE RIGHT,another globalist shill F**k you.

  • Please Search Youtube: "Energy from Thorium" or "LFTR"

We could spend Tens of trillions of dollars on solar, wind and bio-fuel and sill only provide 20-30 percent of our energy. That would be economic suicide. The answer is the Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor "LFTR". This reactor solves all of the problems of conventional reactors and can supply ALL of our energy for thousands of years.

  • al gore is investing in -

an engineering company in the uk is building clear tubes to hold pure co2 from the atmposphere and put on roofs of houses to heat the houses and reflect the heat back in, more cost effective than solar panels.

While the images may sound like science fiction, architects and demographers say Australian cities must radically transform to cope with the pressures of population growth and climate change or face social unrest and urban decay.

  • @Nightversionn Reuters is your source? LOL, they haven' t been reporting the straight scoop for years. It would be like having the fucking retards at MSNBC reporting on it. They aren't a news org either.

  • @TheMerriamLookout OK, well I post a lot of articles, what about Agence France Presse, New York Times, Sacramento Bee, Spokesman Review, Toronto Globe, Vancouver Sun, Asahi Shimbun, Japan, Washington Post, Jakarta Post, Seattle Post Intelligencer, Los Angeles Times, China Daily Taiwan, China News Agency, Financial Times, Bloomberg Business News, BBC, New Scientist, Science, Australia ABC News, Billings Gazette Montana, Politico, etc....

That's why they call you "denier" and "flat earther"

    .

Worse than that you are most likely one of the hundreds of denier sock accounts on Youtube. There is basically one denier with hundreds of sock accounts to make it appear like there are multitudinous deniers, so as to make everyone hate us or think we're all stupid here in the US

  • Al's done a good job reinventing himself from politician to save the entire world answer man who won't take questions unless they've been preselected by his handlers. Or for that matter not being willing to debate Lord Monckton about this matter of such dire importance. I've heard 300k to get Mr.Gore to speak. Got to pay that 14k a month power bill at the house and fuel the private jets for him and Tipper

  • @dagmastr12 give him a break, hes a nobel peace prize winner!

    along with Arafat and Obama

  • Yes with Al's companies controlling all of that power that Americans will need to maintain a decent standard of living. I didn't hear a lot of facts, more platitudes, vague references and catchy phrases, remember lock box?

It wouldn't make any sense to drill any of the vast oil deposits that have been found in the Gulf or AK or the East coast of the US.

  • ...my God the shit thats spewed out of ManBearPigs mouth must have a carbon footprint akin to Tippers left dimpled ass cheek

  • manbearpig is gettin boring now so please shut up.

    Love you al Gore

  • Guys ManBearPig is real, I'm super cereal.

  • let's simply apply ALL that we 'collectively" KNOW and resolve this issue...then 2 save the Entire Planet.. we can DO RIGHT by one another...I've got to Try...2

  • Al Gore should be put in prison for propagating this scam!

Oh! its about green alright... MONEY green

  • it's not all about carbon emissions..you have to understand that we are running out of the fuels we need to keep the world flowing

  • how do you know for a fact that we are running out of fuels other than what the "green" media is telling us?

South Dakota: 70 Trillion gallons of Shale oil in the ground..... Democrats WON'T drill.

North Dakota: 150 billion cu.ft of natural gas. Democrats WON'T drill.

  • crude oil is a thing of the past. why do we keep giving the oil companies our money? we will not have any oil left within the next 100 years..granted climate change is 100% part of earth's natural cycle..for the sake of the future we HAVE to find alternative energy.

fuck drilling man, oil is in the past..we need electric cars and we need clean diesel hybrids.. if we dont curb use in our lifetime we will see $40 a gallon in both of our lifetimes..

    stop being so partisan

  • DontTread0nMe:

So, according to your logic, We just let the billions of shale and natural gas sit in the ground? and pay exhorbatant amounts of money for fuel anyway?

    Here's my logic:

Lets drill, and use what we have....ON THE WAY to getting toward alternative fuel sources..

clean diesel? still a crude product.

Thier is no such thing as "clean" coal or "clean" deisel.

  • actually there are plenty of methods of producing low emission diesel vehicles and plenty exist..the real plus in diesel is the mileage it produces..and of course there's no clean coal..thats something conservatives like to praise..when referring to clean coal all they mean is that they are capturing the carbon and storing it..which is fucking stupid..i bet you agree that it is

when i say fuck drilling i dont mean dont do it i mean that drilling will not solve our energy needs..alt energy will

  • I see your point on alternative energy for the future, and I agree.

BTW: Obama and The Republicans tout clean coal. what a joke!

House Majority leader Nancy Pelosi- (CA)Democrat, needs to quit telling the public she is trying to save the earth by NOT drilling.

Drill Now..... and lets make the transition into alternative energy. otherwise it will just sit in the ground and we will have to suffer years before we can make the needed transition to Alternative fuels.

  • yeah, that does make a lot of sense too.

i'm glad we both understand that we can't drill our way towards energy independence.

our best bet is to have individuals produce their own energy or make it so that ALL of our energy is domestic..

  • DontTread0nMe:

Absolutely. and that will prosper us in ways we could never imagine. When we get to that point, I hope government will back off from things like the Kyoto protocol.

  • reserves in years go up almost every decade in all fossil fuels, yes at some point they become too expensive to be worth it while other fuels will become cheaper, thats years away though per kw fossil fuels remain king for the next century

this green bullshit pisses me off

  • Al Gore was on 60 minutes talking about the environment while driving a huge chevy pickup. What a hypocrite.

  • Thankyou Mr. Gore. Now I have designed a Magnetic Motor That uses NO FUEL! The name of the unit is called "The Metatron Magnetic Motor" I just need some funding to produce it and I say before 10 years we can change this earth into something to be proud of!!!

  • Yes, Gore is right. This is the only passage to a civilization free of the dirty, disease producing, abusive of the environment and bloody hydrocarbons (oil and coal). Yes let us build a civilization based on energy sources that are renewable, clean, healthy to the human body, environmentally friendly, free of potential ecological disaster and dangerous waste. Solar & wind energy and a few others meet such fundamental standards. YES, it can be done! With clarity & determination.

  • I have designed a magnet motor that does not need shielding and does not need any help to start rotating with a battery or by hand and is not a clam shell stator. mine will produce without stopping 25KW in the following demensions 12" dia by 25" long!

  • Both cigarette carcinogenesis and anthropogenic global warming are scientific theories that are strongly supported by peer-reviewed models and data.

Both are also disputed by well-funded disinformation campaigns.

  • @nancidrew4 the biggest dishonesty is Al Gore ! Look at what he has invested in !

  • ...fucking electoral vote...

  • Lastly,...what we need to worry about is the long term survival of the human race on this planet, not to mention the rich biodiversity we have here too.

Now, if that is not your priority, then fine. But I think most of the world wants to protect human life. It is the only rational stance there is.

The Bush administrations energy policy consists solely of maximizing profits for Big Oil.

Do you like how that is working out for us?

    I think not

  • Take an economics class for the money impact, i don't have the time or patience to teach the brainwashed what they should instinctively see in that carbon tax would not be offset by reduced income tax for an average person in the US.

  • Oh really, I'm dying to hear you explain yourself. How is slashing the payroll tax not a good thing for jobs, for bolstering American workers, for offsetting the carbon tax?

I'm waiting for your response. I'd like to hear some details oh wise one

  • And another thing, you need to stop believing your political leaders and the mouthpiece of the mob, the mainstr news media

I mean look at this asshole. When he served as V President, Pres Clinton organized the Presdnt's Council on Sustainable Developt and NAFTA. This has nothing to do with sustaining anything or free trade, it sent all our industry overseas

And now this asshole is up there acting like this is all Bush's fault, keeping everyone divided into that phony left/right paradigm

  • And another thing, we're going to keep losing as long as ppl like you demonize Bush and act like a democratic leader will change things and as long as phony conservatives support Bush and act like democratic is satan.

I voted for this asshole in 2000 for pres, that's before I woke up to how these parasites laugh about how stupid we are behind our backs and pretend to be for the people and work in secrecy for 1 world govt.

The environmental hoax is a fraud. Please wake up to it.

  • Are you actually defending Bush? He's the worst thing that ever happened to human civilization, not to mention dear America.

If Bush supporters want to act like democrats are Satan, I can't help that.

I'm sorry but the truth is the Bush years have been the worst years of my life.

  • Not at all, Bush is unquestionably the worst pres we've ever had, worse than Clinton.

The point I'm making is I get frustrated with people who fall into either the democrat=good/repub=bad OR repub=good/democ=bad.

THEY'RE BOTH BAD PEOPLE! Remember Nancy Pelosi, our phony democ Spkr of the House who promised to end the war when she won in 2006?

When you prop one up as good and the other as bad, this corrupt system continues, nothing changes, everyone stays divided and they keep winning

  • Bush needs to take responsibility like the captain going down with the ship.

We've had 8 years of his administration and the majority of time the Republicans has both houses and look what's become of America

    It's a shame, it's a pity.

If the election hadn't been stolen the world would be such a different different place.

That is the plain and simple truth

  • It's not changing with the democrats now as the majority, you need to get that in your head!

And you have to realize something: BUSH RUNS NOTHING. His job is to read off a telepromtor and sit in the executive seat and pose as our pres while the shadow gvt runs it all.

Likewise, when Obama wins HE WILL RUN NOTHING.

Bush isn't going to take responsibility for the collapse of this country because 1st of all he didn't do it (the shadow govt did it) and 2nd of all he doesn't care anyway!

  • Tell me about it, I think it's because it seems like all the so-called conspiracy wackos are turning out to be right, or it's damn well looking plausible.

    Alas, my name!

  • MITT ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT!!!

  • Once the United States is deindustrialized in fear of this Global Warming swindle, then the world will be under oligarchical model of Free Trade and depopulation.

British interests supplied the Confederacy against the Union in the American Civil War, because they preferred North America to be a primitive agrarian economy that they could dominate through policies of Free Trade or maritime power against control of one's own internal territory through industry and infrastructure.

  • Secondly, you are missing the big picture and exaggerating misinformation. We have to have a set of agreed upon facts. The scientific community is telling us we need to take urgent action that will hopefully avert the worst affects of global warming otherwise human existence on this planet could be jeopardized

You are focusing on such a minor part of the big picture it is difficult to have a serious conversation with you

  • As for global warming, look at the earths history in deep sea cores, millions of years at a glance, accurate to a tenth of a degree, and see the truth about abrupt climate change, especially at the rate at which the temp changes. the average change is two degrees C per century, both up and down, so the 1.5 degrees that the earth has warmed over the last hundred years or so is nothing new and nothing to worry about. Stop living in fear about the world ending, its how they exert control over you.

  • "they" are exerting control

Again, you fail to look at the big picture, what government in the last 8 years has trashed the Constitution, acted illegally, and taken so many rights away from the American people

How dare you talk about some invented issue, and fail to even see the elephant standing in the room

    please

  • Secondly Packrat,

Tell the whole truth if you know it. Gore wants to cut the payroll tax and institute carbon taxes. Cutting the payroll tax will help American workers. It will take money out of the hands of big oil and the Persian Gulf and put it into the hands of American WORKERS, you know, anyone who punches a time sheet.

You conveniently leave out half the policy proposal. Typical

Yes, we are facing imminent disaster, and everyone who is serious knows this

  • You really are delusional, you think that if carbon taxes are leveed against the producers of anything that burns, that the cost of that tax wont just be tacked on to the product? Thats money we have to pay, there is no free lunch or taking money from OPEC and putting it back here. Al Gore lied to you.

Oh yeah, if global warming continues, what do you think is going to kill you. I'm serious, the world is really warming, but what will it be that we need to worry about the most? please respond.

  • First of all, did you actually read my post? What about the cut in the payroll tax to offset the effects of carbon taxes.

What does that mean? Well, if you think about it it means transferring money away from big oil and the Persian Gulf and diverting it to the American people, well, those that actually work and pay Payroll taxes.

That's how American workers can be helped. As it stands Bush is only helping Big Oil and those in the Persian Gulf. How is that working right now?

  • Packrat,

Firstly, you call Al Gore fascist. Does he operate a secretive government that exerts tight control and repressive policies? No, you are describing the Bush administration.

When you use the word "idiot" you describe them in full since every single thing they've touched results in disaster.

    Please.

  • Packrat, your comment brings to mind the book "Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed" in which the author examines various civilazations and the factors that led to their demise.

Sure, if anyone brought up a plan to help the Anasazi or Mayan civilizations survive, I'm sure the ruling elite back then would have said the same thing, can't be one, not if it threatens our profits and the current status quo

So let's just sit on our hands and wait for imminent disaster

  • Imminent disaster, eh? Can you be more over dramatic? You think Al Gore and his ridiculous proposals will help? He talks about rising energy costs and how it's hurting people, yet he wants to add carbon taxes to the already existing taxes on fuel which will raise the cost even more, and hurt people even more. He completely contradicts himself. The bottom line is he's invested heavily in the green companies and he wants to see returns on those before he's pushing up daisies.

  • Things take time, and to try to force technology that isn't feasible and isn't ready is a mistake that will cripple our country. The imminent disaster will be the aftermath of that idiot's failed fascist policies.

  • 100% clean energy in 10 years = 100% pipe dream.

"The corporate stranglehold on the press in the U.S. is one of the key reasons that we read (or see, or hear) so little serious discussion of Climaticide.... Major newspapers are often subsidiaries of large conglomerates, and even when they're not, they depend on them for advertising, hence their unwillingness to tell the truth about global warming.... Throw in the fossil fuel disinformation campaigns, and you can easily see why Americans have such a poor understanding...."

  • Yeah ... that's exactly what the engineers said about putting a man on the moon. And that time, the fate of our ecological support wasn't even at stake like it is now.

You write about "unrealistic" -- but the risk of allowing ourselves to break a tipping point in greenhouse warming is NOT a realistic option.

  • tinyurl*com/6zugc8

"The funding of an array of think tanks and institutes that house climate skeptics and deniers also worried Britain's premier scientific body, the Royal Society. It found that in 2005 Exxon distributed nearly $3 million to 39 groups that 'misrepresented the science of climate change by outright denial of the evidence that greenhouse gases are driving climate change.' It asked Exxon to stop the funding and its protests helped force Exxon's recent retreat....

  • "In his recent book Heat, George Monbiot gives the example of the TV presenter and botanist, David Bellamy, who is also a climate skeptic. He told the New Scientist in 2005 that most glaciers in the world are growing, not shrinking. He said his evidence came from the World Glacier Monitoring Service in Switzerland, a reputable body. When Monbiot checked the service they said that the Bellamy claim was 'complete bullshit.' Glaciers are retreating....

  • "But perhaps the oil companies' PR campaign is not the main reason for the success of the climate change deniers. There are at least three others. First, the implications of the science are frightening. Shifting to renewable energy will be costly and disruptive. Second, doubt is an easy product to sell. Climate denial tells us what we all secretly want to hear. Third, science is portrayed by the free market right as a political 'orthodoxy' rather than objective knowledge....

  • "The tide slowly turned on tobacco denial and the science was accepted in the end. But climate is different. There are no 'smoke-free areas' on the planet. Climate denial may turn out to be the world's most deadly PR campaign."

    Yeah ... that's the ticket.

And we'll justify it with the PATRIOT Act. ...... 8-P

  • Save our planet! Solve 80% of global warming by going Veg!=)

  • I have to say I do agree with you that if you insult people, it causes you to lose the seriousness of the point you try to make. However, I have to ask if you fell asleep during Social Studies or psychology? You would know then that this a classic case of "crisis management".

By the way you spelled "prove" wrong. Just saying. :)

  • Thanks for the spelling correction. Yes it is crisis management, just like reactions to looming inflation, wars over oil, political change through elections, national security issues, the opening of the Olympics, .... is that a bad thing? I don't think so!

Disparate peoples tend to mobilise in a crisis especially if it can create a rational common and realistic goal: Social Studies 101!

Oops If you are in Britain, I spelled 'mobilize' wrong!

  • And here is a definition:

    crisis management

    noun

the use of expert managers by a business or government to limit damage or danger from a crisis.

    • the tendency to take action only after a crisis has developed.

  • is daniel botkin a wing nut?

  • Wow. :)

  • No, Gomer. It's thousands of expert climate scientists who tell us that we're in a crisis. Your focus on Gore just shows how thick-headed you are.

    SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • haha you're an idiot!! the earth heats and cools natyrally.... we were going through the same stuff 100 tears ago and Al Gore is a dumbass... need i to remind you of his monthly electric bill in his big ass tennessee home?!?!? oh and 30 years ago the same "experts" said that the earth was cooling too fast and by the 80's we would have major crop failure... and i know i spelled that wrong... so shut the fuck up until you have PROVED this theory called global warming... THEORY

  • The following organizations agree that the evidence for anthropogenic global warming is overwhelming:

    National Academy of Sciences

    National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies

    Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists

    British Royal Society

    British Meteorological Office

    And there are many more.

The claim that a few wing-nut skeptics know more than these prestigious organizations is only part of an ideological BELIEF system, not science.

  • The Earth's climate is a dynamic, continually changing system which has been experiencing shifts and fluctuations ever since it came into being. Fantasizing about arresting it at its present readings -- as some would like to do -- is as ill-conceived as it is futile. It is nothing but a doom-fated rebellion against nature itself.

  • Gore has described the lifestyleas "carbon neutral," meaning he tries to offset any energy usage, including plane flights and car trips, by "purchasing verifiable reductions in CO2 elsewhere." He pays for his extra-large carbon footprint through Generation Investment Management, a London-based company with offices in Washington, D.C., for which he serves as chairman. The company was established to take financial advantage of new technologies and solutions related to combating "global warming,"

No, the true climate change denialist is an ideologue ... [an] adherent of closed, ideological systems, in which all problems are ultimately attributed to a single cause: original sin ... [loss of] private property ... 'Big Government' ... etc."

  • Nanci,

None of this stuff answers the logic question I've been asking: can an irreplicable observation truly indicate causation? What about the climate experts who disagree with man-made global warming? I hear the same excuse from you folks all the time - we're somehow funded by oil companies. I wish I were, then I could buy that new Madone 6.9, some Zipp 808s and a disc for my time trials...

"The oceans have absorbed about 40% of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted by humans over the past two centuries. This has slowed global warming, but at a serious cost: the extra carbon dioxide has caused the ocean's average surface pH (a measure of water's acidity) to shift ... damaging key marine organisms such as corals and plankton ..."

"When we moved the hand of the Doomsday Clock from 7 to 5 minutes to midnight in January 2007, the Bulletin's Board of Directors warned about two major sources of potential catastrophe: the perils of 27,000 nuclear weapons in the world, 2,000 of them ready to launch in minutes, and the destruction of human habitats from climate change."
