Back in these days, Slipknot had the best costumes, the best masks and played the best music and Coreys voice was the most brutal out there. I still enjoy listening to Slipknot, but i find it hard to compare their new material to the songs they produced in their prime. Actually, i find it hard to compare any metal band to Slipknot when they were at best. I miss those times... Iowa was a revolution on the metal scene. All honor to them, and R.I.P Paul.

They changed with the time instead of sticking to what they started out as.. they were fucking SLIPKNOT!!!!!! Now... its like, they brought all their side projects to the band. If someone wants to listen to Stone Sour or Murderdolls, then go listen to them, but dont bring it to the band and change shit around.

They're still Slipknot, they've just grown and changed in the way the feel appropriate to do so. @ClearDuality True...but most of the maggots like OLD slipknot more then NEW slipknot. There still a great band. Grew up listening to them. Met them numerous times... but still. They just added TOO much singing and TOO much guitar solos. That wasnt what slipknot was... From Iowa to Subliminal Versus, HUGE change. And All Hope Is Gone was way different then any other albums. Im just saying. Corey is a true artist...Stone sour is one band. Slipknot is another, hate how they kind of combined them.
