this game has all the qualities that I love example a boss that becomes harder as more players entering the battle field a free movement so that people can dodge the enemies attacks from every direction a defensive and offensive skills that provide a support for other players and great dynamic events that occurs in the game much better then wow thats what i say
If this is an event, then what happens if you don't defeat the dragon? Does it go further into the Continent and reek havoc? or does it return into the ocean to sleep? or nothing? because I'm curious...

But I don't know if either of those dragons do anything if the event fails as I think it's one of those things in relation to the main story of the game.
If anything like other events, it will probably summon minions or cause ruptures that will make many events throughout the map as I heard major boss events can do that if left alone.

The idea being that people can just join in and the overall experience for the player will be challenging, regardless of how many people take part.
@BigMike6074 Scaling events is to make the experience more epic for all the players. The boss events don't necessarily get more "difficult" but rather more challenging. For example a boss would have its basic attacks for a small group but when more people comes it will gain AoE skills to deal with more people. Also they don't do more damage than before but they do gain more hp so that the boss doesn't just go down faster & lessen the experience for those already there when help arrives.
@YouKnowWhoNiller Game demos at Gamercon or at PAX or any other big game conferences around the world. They get a very limited 45 min play time so nobody really has a chance to even get used to the buttons before they are booted off.

All you did was run to a boat and pick a mission and pick if you want to sign up for a group or not or do it solo. Bam that's the game have fun doing all 9 boats and their missions in each semi unique zone.

There are no quests in the game either. You can go pvp at level one as it will bump you up to lvl 80 and give you the same armor and skills as everyone else so it's completely balanced and you never have to do a quest in your life.

@theseakker Well there are no talk to an NPC and get a block of text telling you something horrible is going on so u need to kill 10 boars or something. When in reality nothing is actually happening. This game instead of talking to NPCs you explore the world and find "dynamic events" which are like quests, but they're something like liberate this town of centaurs our go save someone from pirates. And then those events branch off to something else depending on if you and a bunch of other people
@theseakker succeeded or not. For example, if you fail to defend a town from a centaur invasion. The centaurs take over the town and burn down the buildings. They then get resources and start building siege weapons to defend the town so you and your friends have to go in and take back the town. The quests in GW2 are not liike your typical mmo quests
@SnowAura1337 It's b2p. Buy it once and play with no subscription fees. There will be a cash shop, but it will only sell aesthetic items or appearance customization and other non-gameplay services such as server transfers, similar to the cash shop the original Guild Wars had.
@shadowlinkplayer Doubtful. WoW is nowhere near close to death as some of you like to believe. I do think GW2 and SW:TOR will take a drastic chunk out of WoW's playerbase though and may lessen the gap between WoW and the rest of the MMO industry
