I love how all these 'fans' sit at home and think they can do a better job officiating. The bump at the beginning of the play was marginal, it didn't mess up his shot at all. The defense had legal guarding position: inside his vertical plane, torso facing the defender, and established his spot on the floor PRIOR to upward motion. Clearly a charge this call is CORRECT.

it is true her calls have been terrible in the past. while it is her job to get the calls right what her main purpose is to encourage more women to become refs. The training of female refs will become better. It just looks good to none nba fans. She is kind of just like a Danica Patrick. Theyre both not suppose to be good, theyre just suppose to be out there.

If any of you "FANS" think that's a block you OBVIOUSLY HAVE NEVER OFFICIATED ANY BASKETBALL GAME AT ANY LEVEL. My grand 7yr old grandson could make that if I explained block/charge to him WHICH IS: When a player establishes "legal guarding position"--that's both feet on the floor facing the opponent. The defender established his position BEFORE the offensive player became "air borne" and thus the offensive's player protection of "verticality" no longer applies. Bottom line--CORRECT CALL!

You need to check the rules......CLEARLY INSIDE THE ARC.......In order for it to be a charge, the defensive player needs to establish position OUTSIDE OF THE ARC......OUTSIDE means BOTH feet....not one......Bitch blew the call.....AGAIN....she's the worst ref in the history of sports.....ALL sports.

@press3copz False, the play originated outside of the lane, i.e. Birdman caught the ball outside the lane, and the defender's back foot was inside of the arc below the basket. Automatic block call. Plus he was fouled before he collided with the defensive player. Also in the NBA the defender needs to be in position before the offensive player begins his "upward motion," not when he jumps. College it's when he jumps but NBA its basically when he starts to bring the ball up. BAD CALL

Nothing was worse than when Birdman pulled down Yao's arm and they called Yao for traveling. If Yao gets to the point where he gets a tech you know bullshit was going on.

What about the calls earlier in the game? Those were equally pathetic. Chris Anderson tripping Yao, Chris Anderson pulling Yao's arms down but Yao was called for travel.

I thought the last call was legit, though Hayes had to make it more obvious. Contact was initiated. If you guys search on youtube, the difference between a flop and the last play is miles different.

A flop is when someone falls where there is either no contact or not enough contact to fall. Watch Kirlenko or Varejao.

Hayes did not flop, he had position and took enough contact to fall. He may have made the contact more obvious, but it is a charge either way.

the fact of the matter is that nuggets were consistently screwed over by the same two controversial calls, how could you debate over a charge at the end when calls like this aren't correctly officiated.

You are basing your facts on the fact that it was a call at closing moments of the game. So what about the horrible ref treatment on Yao? There are points from that too.

If the calls were fair on Yao, then the game probably won't even be this close in the first place. The Rockets would've dispatched the nuggets much earlier, and there wouldn't be deciding calls.

That was a legit charge, and it is part of the game. You're pissed because a call was made on a good defensive play.

Yao is often held down by refs allowing illegal defense, two hands to the back and being shoved with a forearm while shooting. Atm of a shot the defender has to take his arm off a post player. Yao is not able to use his strength to get to the basket bc defenders flop.
