Update: The Meaning of Mitochondrial Disease

I really need and desire to make more people aware of MITO. My daughter that is 21 and she can not eat, speak...etc. because of her Mito. Thanks so much for the awesome people who have all of this info here. Rick Lamb, Atlanta

What a great way to promote awareness of Mito! My niece has Mito disease-she's 4.5 yrs old-in her case it manifests through Epilepsy mainly, and with very low muscle tone. But the big issue is the Epilepsy. She doesnt have a G tube-thankfully, the epilepsy is bad enough!

However she got a diagnosis soon enough-at age 1 so I pray for all the kids out there who dont have the support or diagnosis early enough!

its great that there are so many people who don't have mito to understand what its like, i have had mito since i was 3 and half and its the complex 1 mito which isn't as bad but i take meds 4 it
