Both Apple and Alienware are massively overpriced. You will barely hear any PC user call Alienware good because they're aware of the insane pricetags, and that's exactly why they don't call Apple good either.
If you buy an Apple you're buying it for the looks and possibly the battery life, not because they price their parts well (I'd say around 2.5-3 times more than normal). Apple OS vs Windows is an entirely different debate, as both are compatable with either system.

First of all, in the same family processors doesnt matter the frequency speed, what is important are pipelines, as many short pipelines has a processor better is the performance because when data is lost it requires less time to process it again.
Another point is software, a better os will make Alienware fly, with Debian GNU/Linux or any other Linux Unix system will own your mac and I wont have to pay for software updates!

The problem with Mac fanboys is they are almost always talking about laptops. This means the argument that you can build a PC for less is not valid argument, because building a PC only applies to Desktops. Next a Mac fanboy use the word "MAC" to mean the hardware , and the OS. They do this so they can pull out the "Boot-camp" card. This however only proving the point that Windows can do more than the Mac OS. Mac glossy screen has really bad glare, and THEY CHARGE MORE for Antiglare.
