I don't agree with what the judge did, however it is true that interracial marriages have a much higher divorce rate than intraracial marriages, and that multiracial children generally have more problems than single race children. I say this as a multiracial person, as well; frankly, I don't think single race people understand just how lucky they are, as us multiracial folks commonly have confused identities due to being multiracial.

I heard that same absurd argument ("it's for the children") when I was part of a mixed race couple. I chose to ignore it because I knew that no matter what you are like as a child, someone is going to try to make you feel bad about yourself. Result: my children are fine, and haven't experienced any sort of drama because of their mixed heritage.
