Hi Kadyns Mommy. You are marvelous. My grandson was born with trisomy one, a very rare chromosone disorder. He was not supposed to live past two years old and on July 17, 2011 he will turn 14. He has grown so much and done so much more than doctors predicted. He has a wonderful daddy that just dotes on him. We love him very much. He has had skull surgery but on he goes. I certainly admire you for the work and time you are putting into your wonderful son to assure that he does his absolute best.

Best wishes to you, I hope you are also working with your local developmental disabilities organization to get physical and occupational therapies, they know lots of special techniques to build strength, one is to have the child balance as you hold onto them on a ball, so their core muscles get stronger(for mid section)....best to you! I also have a child with a disability:)
@saladgyrl We were, Kadyn got super sick for awhile and had to pull out of the programs because he was constantly in and out of the hospitals, now we are working on getting him back in :D

@Andrewtehawesome My nephew got the same problem. He is 8 years old now and I love him too much. Doctors if diluted part of brain replaced then there is no need of VP shunt any more after that surgery but I its really risky to do that surgery and I am so scared of taking that decision. Did your doctor ever advised you something like that?

I've been watching all the videos of Kadyn and boy is he ever cute. My son Thorn at 5 weeks old ended up getting a tumor on his nose and it cut off airflow on the left side. With medication we were able to stop the growth but had we not it would have engulf the left side of his face. He is one year old today and off medication and the doctors say it will go away on its own. I am so glad that your boy is also doing well and just want to say God bless you. Many parents wouldn't be as good as you.
when I look at this boy the only thing I find unusual is some hair missing on the back of his head!!! He looks absolutely like any other child !!! I am not familiar with the type of illness he is dealing with, but as much as I can see from these short movies, nothing can stop him in becoming a strong boy!!!
I was not able to walk, talk, eat or sit until 2.5 years old. Doctors never found the explanation and cause for my state. Today, I am 6'5" and weight 220lbs !!!

God bless the little man to be...he's so adorable and he has a gift. people laugh at things like this but it could've very well been one of them or their child or relative but just ignore it all and keep your head up because a precious gift like Kadyn comes once in a life time so enjoy every moment of him.
