omg..thank u. I was going crazy. I didn't know u had to take the hose out first! I have fleas and I just vacuumed and need to take the freaken bag outside, but I cdn't get it out.. I know it soundS dumb, but I just worked a ten hour shift and i'm tired. Plus my kenmore is pretty old and the hose was hard to pull out. It irritates me cs once I got the hose out, it open like puddin and pie...
