I'm from around Springfield, MO..I'm glad to see that I got some Missourian brothers (and sisters?) that are kickin' ass and takin' names. Stay strong, and stay safe!
i've noticed in most your videos that you guys respond POV to the call, now if it is a working fire do you guys carry extra air packs on the rigs for those that POV in along with the crew on the rig?
@WartownComp1 Negative, all the breathing apparatus are on the engines. Once on scene, all personnel go to the first due, tag in, and grab a pack if needed.
wow so that's what it's like when people pull over when they hear a siren or see flashing lights, here u dam near need to drive over them before they move or they give u the finger when u go by great video guys keep up the great work and stay safe out there
I must say that your operators are some of the best FD drivers that I've ever observed. Full stops at red lit intersections ans stop signs. I assume that you are authorized 15 mph over posted, but your speed is never an obvious disregard for the limit. You guys are to be commended. If I may ask, when is the last time WPFD has had a coded response 10-50 with an emergency vehicle?
Where I work. If it is just a fire alarm it is called over like that. If it is a real fire it is a Code Red. Hospital Staff have to 1. Rescue 2. Activate the system 3. Contain said fire, and 4 Extingish the fire or evacuate the nearest pts.

i have no idea about the american Firefighter or Alarm system.
But if a child pulls the Alarm, why no one call 911 and tell them it's false alarm?
In Switzerland, if you pull the Firealarm it needs 20 Seconds to send a Signal to the Fire dept, and only the janitor can turn it off.
But then he calls the Fire dept, to make sure they didn't get the emergency signal.
(if it's false alarm)

@WestPlainsFD why would a child do that if it's NOT a real emergency?
Belchmaster41 1 week ago
@Belchmaster41 the same reason they put everything to thier mouths- curiosity. my guess was that the child was probably no more than 4 or 5.

@ChathamFireDeptfan That is what code red is supposed to mean, but there was no fire. Someone pulled a pull station and said there was a fire.
