i know what it feels like- i got hit by ike and rita i live in texas yestersay we got r water on no electricity but i can get on the computer becuase generator is helpin we have like a tree on our powerline in theback and 3 other trees down we didnt evacuate and it was fine kinda scarey but it was fine i am so blessed to have power when some people have never had power before i just thank God Gig Em Aggies Every Things Bigger in TX

i lost power for a week - but am i the only one who actually liked it? i saw all the neighborhood kids outside playing for the first time - it reminded me of when i was a kid - various neighbors grilled or did fish frys - somebody always had something somebody else needed and we banded together - we read by candel light and played board games as a family - it was just awesome

if there is a God and he really did punish there would be very few people left in the world period. you seem to forget all the men and women that serve in our armed forces(i was one of them, U.S.Army Veteran) and texas is home to the world's largest military instillation. if you live in the U.S. you wouldnt want that to happen. Second, i live in houston now, and it's devastated as is the entire SE side of this state. its pretty eerie to look out and see at night its pitch black for miles...
