  • If you want to the real version of this game go to this you tube link...

    watch?v=tJg_1h0ZhEM

  • I agree with this review! This game is total shit. I used to play it as a kid and it sucked then to! I'd rather play the smurfs game on colecovision. I actually was able to beat that. Anyone who puts themselves through this game needs to be medicated heavily for severe depression under constant suicide watch!! I'm actually going to buy a copy of this game so i can melt it in a fire!!! This game is only for the self hating!

  • Colecovision had some great games in it's day. Looping seemed a lot more fun then, than it looks now. Despite the reviewers assessment, I'd still find enjoyment playing looping today, if nothing but for nostalgic reasons.

  • Thanks for posting

  • THAT PILOT IS DRUNK AS SHIT

  • it's shit because YOU SUCK at it !!!

  • Add me to the "lulz at the reviewer who can't play the fucking game so he gets defensive and calls it shit" crowd.

    Pathetic.

  • Hey man,

Don't put the game down, keep in mind in 1983 the game was cool! It's just a different time now, so of course the games are going to look terrible! Actually all those games look terrible! But yet, back then we still sat in front of the T.V and played that shit till the game console damn near burned up because we had it on for so long!

  • @jbodiesel Cool? I didn't like it then and no one i knew liked it.

  • Hehe. I was better at this game at age six than you are now. Good try though ^^

  • Looping was one of the best titles on the Colecovision and the one I still think of 25 plus years later. The game is challenging but rewarding. This reviewer did not spend the time to get good at it, so he hates it. just calling it sh$&t and dying, are not a good reasons. Don't listen to him.

  • you dont like the game because you suck balls at it

  • Dude, I used to play this as a kid. I have the fondest memories of this game. This is a piece of shit review. Dommiesan sucks at this and doesn't realize that there is more to this game than meets the eye. Dommiesan is just piss poor at it. He should stick to button mashers because he is not a true gamer.

  • OOPS!!! I meant to say "11-14-82" in my last comment, not 11-14-83.

Also, the Colecovision version of this game is missing the "green drop room" near "The End", where this pipe at the top of the screen continually discharges a large green drop -- the green drop looks a bit like a gigantic fece coming from the sewer. :-O

  • I have the world record on the arcade version of this game: 2,458,770 points.

I got this record on 11-14-83 at PJs Game Room in Juneau AK. USA. :-)

I must admit to having never played the Colecovision game, however one thing I noted right off the bat is that the speech synthesis ("Thank you", "Flight number one", etc.) is missing here.

  • the arcade game was fab...you suck

  • RED BALLOONS AND BIG BALLS!!!!!!!!

  • go easy on it, this is colecovision. and this seems like an okay

  • Brings back memories. Thanks for posting, great to see, but why trash old games? It was great for its time. And expensive, used to spend a lot on cartridges. If you want "good" games, go buy new stuff.

  • hahaha, speaking of piece of shit, i went to a store, and picked up like 15 coleco games for a dollar a piece, and the one game that doesnt work is looping. Damn broken game... makes weird boxes and colours appear...

  • I once maxed out the score on this game. Theres a spot right at 1:22 where you can do an infinite loop as the points racked up. I would set the plane to loop in that pipe area continually and use a shoe to hold the controller in place. Walk away and come back later and have 999,999 pts lol.

  • Looping rawks!

  • Used to play this game non stop as a kid

  • thanks for that cool post i have been waiting years to see a looping game , its great

  • I loved this game i remember right aty the end of the maze bit you could bounce of the top and bottom walls used todo this and stick the fire button down would get massive scores

  • what is the music, I know it is Bach but what prelude is it?

  • It is Bach's invention #8 in F major.

  • I too loved looping, the reviewer obviously can't play it and down it so he doesn't feel so miserably incompetent, anyways, if you replace yourself in the context the coleco console at the time this port came out, it was a pretty good game

  • This quaxk guy is obviously a douche, judging by his miserable comments. Anyhow, if he had a girlfriend at the time he wrote the comment he probably would be less of a dickhead. But sadly, he's a dickhead.

  • @dommiesan And you would know dickheads I'm sure.

  • @DavidFullam I suspect I'm replying to one now.

  • so many memories

  • I used to love this game. Man I miss my coleco. Thank God you included the sound... I been craving to hear that song in the pipes for years!!! Speaking of which, does anyone know what bach song that is?

  • how is that area open with the pipes, when on AVGN's video of Colecovision, its closed??

  • AVGN didn't shoot out the rocket on the leftmost side of the screen. This reviewer did at 1:03. Shoot the rocket and the gate will open. In the higher skill levels there are several rockets hidden inside the yellow and pink structures. Shoot out the pink parts to get them.

  • That pilots drunk as shit! Cool looking game. Makes me wish i had colecovision in addition to my atari

  • Totally disagree. I have fond memories of Looping and am glad it was (and is) a part of my game collection. If you can get through the maze better than the person playing in this video, you'll have a better time of it!

  • The ports of DK, DK Jr., Popeye, Mario Bros. and DK3 all were available for the USA NES in the summer of 1986.

  • To open the gate you have to shoot out the rocket to the left of the opening screen. It doesn't make any sense, I know.

  • Coleco has the best home version of Donkey Kong prior to the NES era.

  • Awesome game, and I always loved the music in the pipes area!

  • Sometimes I wonder if the problem is with the game or the player...

  • Review was a little harsh. I liked the game.

  • i got so many good memories on this game!

    I played it a lot!

  • looping so cool

  • The ColecoVision was the only system this arcade game was ever ported to, due to the general obscurity of the arcade original.

  • Great review, when i bought my colecovision, in the 80's Looping was with it, the colecovision was the best console of its time, as far as graphics.

  • I agree with you on this!!! I had this game in 1983!! Played it all the time!! 8th grade year!!!

  • It's more or less a pice of shit ^^ Haha, gotta love that comment

  • I had this. It was actually kinda fun.

  • Never played this port of the game. Just the arcade. I thought it was ok. But nothing good or even great. But it was ok. Good video man.
