@MicroHelper I don't know what you mean by "jolted", but I can assure you that I've heard hundreds of live performances of theirs, and that's just the way they sound like. Brendon Urie stated several times that he hates autotune and you can by the little flaws that this performance is a hundred percent live. Also, Ryan CAN sing well, he just has a very unusual voice that not everybody likes.

If you mean replacement band members, there aren't any, yet. So far, they have touring members - Ian Crawford (formerly of The Cab) and Dallon Weekes (of The Brobecks), but they don't have any new, permanent members, yet. It may be quite awhile before they do (if they ever do)!

not all of them do...but it helps drumming is really taxing on you...so alot of drummers work out to get their arms endurance up which in turn gives them muscles unless they do a workout routine to specificly avoid muscle build up

Nah, it's a lot different. When they released this album they got a lot of criticism from fans of their old stuff because they had changed so much.

I think just the guys themselves got sick of it, they were being branded as "emo" with their old stuff and it's just not a nice label to be stuck with [not that it's nice to be stuck with any label]. They just grew up and their sound grew with them. It left a lot of the more poser emo kids speechless, whereas the more mature kids who were too smart for labels just got up and moved with the sound. I welcome the change.

You see I'm a die hard metallica fan and they produced four epic albums before they decided to make the black album. Now don't get me wrong, the black album was an incredible album. However, they went from being a great thrash metal band to a hard rock band. You can say they matured in the lyrics, but the sound wasn't as epic. So, it's hard to embrace the new material because there wasn't as many catchy solos and riffs. To me the change wasn't beneficial.

Well I'm afraid I'm not a fan of Metallica myself, so I can't relate exactly, but I understand your point that change isn't always for the best. But at the end of the day, I always think that music is about each individual song and the effect that it has on you, both emotionally and otherwise, instead of being about the band that plays them, however fantastic that band's other material may be. That's just my opinion, however. I'm rambling now, I don't know if that will make any sense!

I understand what you're saying and I agree with your position. The music, afterall, is about human expression. But I can't relate to this music since I'm more into metal. I just thought I should be open minded about the music. They do play feel good music. It has a simple beat and the lyrics carry the song.

I agree totally, everyone has the right to be into whatever kind of music they're into, and I have serious respect for you for giving Panic a chance although they are not what you usually listen to. Unfortunately, few people in this day and age want to step outside of their comfort zone like that.

I also think there's also an element where people are superficial and don't want to be associated with certain stereotypes. If a person who listens to Panic at the Dico goes to a metal concert, then that person probably won't fit in b/c they would dress and look differently. It seems like we have to judge people immediately to have an understanding of them so that we feel more comfortable around them regardless if it's right or wrong.
