Don't worry. I hate Auto-Attacking but considering I had not played XIII for months I just Auto-Battled for a little while since all I had was just Attack anyway but as you go through the Episodes I start choosing my own attacks more and hardly Auto Battling. Yea I know I hate it too as alot of other people use Auto-Battle in Walkthroughs way too much and it's overrated and overused ;P

@ZephyrSonic good lol cause it is dumb it's like having auto aim in call of duty or if they put in auto battle in pokemon it would just be really dumb :-P but also i think you should make your episodes longer cause well it is kinda dumb when you have like a 8 min episode i know you wanna end it at the start of a new part but cmon man like you shouldn't have an episode where hardly anything happens :-P they should be longer and stuff so yeah :-) even if it's a new part :-P

@thebinbanbon Actually, thebinbanbon isn't totally right. The FFs are /mostly/ disconnected. Dissidia ties them, but you don't really need to know much about the individual stories to get the significance in Dissidia, as long as you're played the original FF. Obviously, all of the FFVIIs are connected... xD All the Crystal Chronicles games are connected, but you can play individually. This isn't a sequel, but the new FFXIII-2 is, just like FFX-2, so play this before the new one.

@cupidsensei Also, FFIV: The After Years is a sequel to FFIV. There are some spinoffs that're connected, I think. I don't know 'cause the only spinoffs that I play are the Crystal Chronicles.

If you get XIII and you get the 360 version it's 3 discs. If you buy it for the PS3 it's only 1 because the data was too big for the 360's disk because of the pre-rendered scenes. However for XIII-2 both systems will be 1 disk.

I heard that this game is mostly just "fight, cutscene, save, repeat" in straight dungeon paths for the first 10 chapters. Is that true? I really like RPGs, and this one is really tempting me with its smooth graphics and decent sound score, but I'm afraid that I might lose interest while playing it. Is the story captivating enough to keep me hooked?

@Eternionland That's something you would have to experience for yourself. Don't let the opinions of others keep you from playing what might end up being your favorite game. I suggest you rent it and try it out first, or you could just buy it since it's not nearly as pricy as it used to be. Personally, I think this game is amazing but hey...everyone's got an opinion

Hey, I just bought this game today and when I opened I have 3 disks (Disk 1, Disk2 and disk 3) May I ask what each disk is/

Im assuming you purchased the Xbox 360 version. That version is in separate disks while the PS3 version is just 1. All those discs are is the whole game but on multiple disks. It's been confirmed by Square that for it's sequel Final Fantasy XIII-2 that the 360 version will only have 1 disk this time because of the elimination of Pre-Rendered scenes in which the 360 version could not fit all that data on 1 disk but in XIII-2 it'll just be on 1 disk.

@jukeboxdude97 Final Fantasy XIV is already released as an online game. Besides, XIII-2 takes place in the same universe as XIII with the same character, plus minus a few new characters. Each Final Fantasy series takes place in a different world/universe with no connection between one and the other. So the numbering of XIII-2 means a direct sequel to those in the world of XIII. Same as how X-2 was a sequel to X.

Ive mentioned this in a few of my parts already that I have already played through this game and beat like back in February this year so this is not a blind run. However when XIII-2 comes on it will be pretty much a blind run doing the Walkthrough while making sure I cover everything. But as far as this one goes Ive already played and beaten it :)

My HD PVR gave me problems about in Chapter 2 and it seems as though the previous one eventually got defective so they told me to send it back to them I did and they sent me a new replacement one. Im also getting the Gaming Edition one via UPS by tomorrow. But because of that it really killed it so I decided to do it here and I have no interruptions :)

This is one of my favorite games ever, but did you really need to make a walkthrough? I mean, I can understand for the bosses, since some of them are a pain in the ass, but for the rest of the game? I think it's too linear for a walkthrough. I don't even know how Square wrote a guide for it! In fact, IGN's guide basically says "Go left." XD But I hope yours will work out. And I'm a fan, Zephyr!
