As much of a different and stereotypical direction they went in, I did still in fact enjoy this game. It did still have a lot of the old Shadowman elements. I know for sure that if they made another sequel to the franchise, it'll have a cover system and be a lot like the games of this gen. Me personally, I wouldn't want that... I loved Shadowman for being unique and old school, changing this would be changing the game entirely for me.

in N64. Sound and scary music was Top. SM2 was ok. Unique and Epic game.

@xwario I played through the whole game, experienced everything it had to offer and saw it's ending... the bashing really is required. Moreso when comparing it to the first. But yea this won't be an issue anyway, got no way of recording right now and my video card is constantly overheating.

I hope they make a new Shadow man. I had a lot of fun playing the first and second. The first one was a clasic the second one was a good step for the game. Now a 3rd one for the next gen consle and pc with up to date game play tight controls and a good story.

Mike just looks kind of ridiculous with that big body. The point of the original game was that Mike was just a regular dude when in Liveside with no super human strengths and which is why he just got owned by The Five without his shadow powers. Where's the fun and originality in converting Liveside Mike into just another video game Rambo?

yeah bad choice with the character design...this game was also kind of rushed by the developers...it came out on PS2 Blue CD ROM in Australia...the loading took forever...

it could become so much better running on God of War 2 engine :)

I liked the old Jaunty too (red eyed snake FTW!) but as far as I know when Nettie gave him a body snake in the Deadside, he also gave him an Irish misfigured dwarf body in the Liveside, so that's right at all (I still prefer the old one though!)

I made my eyes cry to find a cadeaux! And these ones? NEON EFFECTS! Oh, and what about the transparent teddy bear at Nettie's Sanctuary (that one for checkpoints)...It was SCARY in the way it used to appear in the first SM!

Mike: ok, the first Mike wasn't great (at least there's still Mikey here) but damn, he had a normal body! And this one? ARNOLD SCHWARZNEGGER's CLONE when he's on Liveside...At least the dead Mikey is quite better than the first dead one...

Music: this is the first thing I noticed...The first one made me shit lots of pants for its dark music, and this? This is shit! Nothing even like 1/10 of the first one's music!

FX: glowing teddy bear, glowing cadeaux...Are they crazy? Shadow Man is supposed to be dark, and the items are supposed to be dark too!

I think I know why they changed Nettie. If I remember the 1st game's manual, they said Nettie stole the body of young woman who made her mad & thus Shadowman had to...you know, to keep that body young. Since Shadowman has been stuck in deadside for so long after beating Legion, her original body must have gotten old & she had to steal a new one (which is the one we see now in this game). I think or maybe Acclaim decided to change her for some other reason.

Bought it for $5. It's an OK game but a time waster.

Ending dosent make any sence to me. The only cool bosses is "Papa Morte" and the huge Irish heavily armored guy. Anyways, very simple game. And nothing like the first one. I give 2/5 rating. Thanks for uploading video.
