  • @eriblood you must be eritrean

Ethiopia will live longer than your so called country

  • Have you ever noticed how the ethiopian dancing style is filled with passion and you can see the beat and the pace of the music echoed in their dancing! No booty shaking here good to see!

  • Song country

  • God bless Momma Africa!

  • i love Ethiopia and this song

  • I love Ethiopia and the different ethnic groups. Long live Ethiopia and Africa!

  • i love you your so awesome i hear this song everday bye

  • This song is so awesome. Love it!!

What's with all the negativity? This song is about peace, embracing diversity and having fun. For anyone trying to spread hatred, not gonna work; don't waste your time you waste of skin!

    Love and Peace!

  • Its great - I don't wish to sound offensive however my only criticism and this may purely because I can't understand the language is it gets repetitive.

  • 3:01 to 3:6 i love to call it " The Dancing Dove" i love it . I love their smile in 4:00 to 4:04.

  • Gay ass song and movements(tities up and down) fuck ethio

  • men this is shekshek

  • @ethioaradakonjo Thank you. I thought that there might be some connection with the Oromo and Wolayta and Sidomo. So I Googled Gamo-gofa and it appears that that was close to the mark. I've learned something today. That makes it worth waking up. There are some fascinating cultures within Ethiopia, and all of them have some interesting dance moves. (But it still makes my head hurt sometimes just to watch a female Oromo dancer. Ouch!)

  • c sa la music

  • i miss segachw hayleyesus REST IN PEACE GOD BLESS YOUR SOLE <3 !!! monikaye i love this song

  • i remember dis song back home we used to rock wid it

  • Quick question, if anyone is still following this video. I recognize most of the ethnic groups, like the Oromo with their lion's mane head gear and the Gurage woman in that short dress with pants. And I assume that the man in the colored stripes at about :05 is Wolayta, but what ethnic group is that first man in the black and white tiger stripes?

  • This is a fantastic video. A sampling of all the amazing traditional Ethiopian crazy shake and shoulder and head jiggling. Its amazing. A friend calls it the Ethiopian chicken dance. minute 2:10 is so cool!

  • this is traditional dance are you stupid or just ignorant?

  • watching videos like this makes me want to hurry up and visit Ethiopia again!! I love the Ethiopian people a lot. They helped us Koreans fight during the Korean War!!

  • ummm your korean...and you listen to ethiopian music....thats ahh very interesting

  • actually what I am trying to say is that...I am a big fan of Ethiopian culture...so not only their music. It reminds me of my childhood as I have lived in East Africa in the 80's...and visited ETH many times :-)

  • I'm a new zealander and I listen to ethiopian music... it rocks my ipod :)

  • Hey StraightouttaSomalia, why do you speak out of a blind hate? You know it we never had white master. Our fathers participated in the Korea war as part of international peace keeping mission. I advise you to read some story.

  • Hey u guy still don't get it ha?! we are doing your job. we are helping u out cause we want to have a country called somalia. as a citezen, you should do your part instead of killing eachother like savages. be civilized men!

  • hey getteshome, I agree with you and thank you 100%! And the world knows that Ethiopia is a GREAT country. Just simply ignore StraightouttaSomalia, people like that are just not worth spending your time and energy in.

  • If we're slaves to the whites, tell me why Ethiopia is the only African nation to never become colonized? I'd be pissed off if I came from that shithole of a country you call Somalia. Seriously, the only thing you're known for is stealing ships

  • So explain how we have "White masters"? I don't recall us being slaves to anyone. Unlike your country, dominated by Muslim influence. And you can't even spell colonized right, you said colonized 6 times. Learn to make a stand for your argument before you talk nonsense you learned in your biased Somali textbooks.

  • hello funny guy! Did u say somalia conquered Ethiopia. What a funny story u guys made. history tells the other way round!!! all i can say to you is READ READ READ!!! i know how hard it is for you guys though. lol

  • dude why the hell are you spoiling the beuty of this song? who cares about your somalian myth? face it u guys are screwed up and leave us alone.

  • sisay is a mandingo name. I do believe now Ethiopia is the cradle of humankind. Mandingos are the majority of Africa (typical features are large nose and robust body like 50 cent). Sisay is typical mandingo meaning the fulani who look like the ethiopians today are not related with more than 50% of ethiopians. Meaning ethiopians called Yalew like Jalew in Fulani are related.

Meaning that ethiopians consist of many origins.

  • lovely song

  • --straihtouttasomalia---why don't you go to hell and hang with your poor english, you make no sense at all, who cares about hutus and bantus, this is a music site,we come here to enjoy, not to read what ever you wrote with your borken english,

  • Amharas = Bantus of the horn.

Till this day, nobody knows where the bantu Amhara ethnic group comes from. some say the democratic republic of the Congos, while others say they are the lost Zulu tribe called "Ka KA hutu combana"

  • BeuTam Konjo neuw!

  • It is a given ETIOPIAS history will aways be complex,

but also personalities tend to play LARGE part...

ANYONE who looks for perfection in IDEA of A NATION

    or INDIVIDUAL'S past or present..IS on a FOOL'S ERRAND

and hading for a BITTER disappointments..

  • Little ma is no joke. in this video she reminds me of the carib lovelies.

it would be great to see the east african and west african artists do a tour of the U.S. I've worked with alot of 'AfroPop' groups but none from ethiopia!

We were watching the videos in the studio and one of the guys pointed out that he thinks that it is the same production crew behind alot of these acts.

Much Respect and blessings be upon them all!

  • great, just had to add it to my favorites. they played the song in every biera bet during my last stay in Addis but this is the first time I´ve seen the video. I just ask you habeshas a favour: please can someone write, what Monica is singing about? seems to sing about the people of Ethiopia living together in peace but yene amarinya tinnish nau ;-)

  • Its for the likes of me and probably U who live out of Et (who miss home). She is appreciating how good Et ppl r for love and hapiness...Also she is appreciating the cultural diversity Et have...(Its all ours)-saying music is music, dance is dance whichever (part of ET) it comes from...its all our culture...just dance...shake it! (shekshek)...I tried.

  • Hands down Monica!! The most representative and democratic Ethiopian singer ever!!! I have never heard any Ethiopian singer as inclusive as you are. Thank you!!. You have included almost anyone n Ethiopia.

As an Afar, in the Diaspora, I can tell you that I have bought your CD both for my car and business, and I love the fact that you are unique, fresh and inclusive of all Ethiopians.

You are also talented, sexy, and have all the parents asking for your CD no matter where we are.

  • What are you trying to start....just to let you know Eritrea is not the richest country either. Negeregna, if you are going to start something then say it, don't beat around the bush. Layba!
