@OftaPoftaRofta Had the same problem, here's the solution: When you run the RPG Maker XP RTP, it's not setting it up, it's basically just placing the setup in the designated folder you put it in (mine was set in downloads). So go to the folder and run the setup in the weird language it's in, and you should be good.
You guys may be a little bland on commentating compared to the Japanese guys, but at least I can understand you! And you're much more amusing than them when you're being chased. XD

Instead of trying to go where Takeshi is, always go to the library so that you can keep running around in circles around the table. Keep going back and forth until the music loops, then you can run for it towards any door to make him disappear.

It's saying that you don't have the RPG Maker. It doesn't see it because your computer may have to be set to Japanese LOCALE. Look it up on google or something, if it doesn't work, then I have no idea, because I haven't had that problem yet.

@LilNyaKitty It did that with me with 6.2. I'm pretty sure that means that you have no visual words in the game. If you watch a walkthrough with the English translations, you should be able to play the game anyway.
It seems like almost every let's play I've seen of this game the player always asks " why are all the rooms locked?" XD they must have never played silent hill, resident evil, or fatal frame before.

You go to your inventory and just select it. If there is something that can be used, then it will automatically choose and use, if not, nothing happens.
I can't really explain it, but it allows you to change the language of the computer (only thing changes are mostly installation apps) so that it is able to read programs that Japanese apps need to have in order to run. Go to your Control Panel, Click to where your Language is at (mine is Clock, Language, and Region = Win 7), Go to Administrative tab, then you'll find "Change System Locale", then all you need to do is change that to Japanese (Japan). That should allow you to play.

I press the ESC button, bringing you the menu. If you have the Japanese version, then it's probably the 2nd selection or if the menu is long, then probably the 4th or 5th option.

You say you know how to save in-game, but don't know how to SAVE SAVE. Well T never had that problem, so I don't really know. There is a data file in the folder that comes with Ao Oni. It keeps all the records.
For some reason it won't work for me! When I try to open the game, something pops up that says 'RGSS102E.dll could not be found.' I downloaded 'RPG maker' first, like it syas in the description.
I have no idea dude. Try changing your Locale language to Japanese. I have mine set to that all times.
If that doesn't work, try going to google and type in the DLL file, there should be a website that should carry it. Again if not, then I have no idea.

@NellielTuOrdeschvank u can just use the table inside every room i prefer use a bigger table then when the demon is catching u make him go thru the other side of the table and u goto the other side of it then wait for 5 or 8 minutes then get away to that room then when the scary music stops that means he will no longer catch u for now and make sure to save your game everytime u speak to an npc,got an item or get some hint on the next thing you'll do
I had the same inspiration as you, so I decided to start playing this game. My friend is also obsessed with this game, so we played it together. At the tatami room, when the ao oni came out, we had like, little girlish screams... and yeah.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. We got stuck for so long with some of these puzzles.
Um...the game is just called "ao oni," Jikkyou isn't part of the title, and just means the guys were actually playing it for real. 実況 means something like "under real conditions" (ie, they're not cheating, and they're playing blindly).
Where'd you download it? Me and my friend tried to this weekend. We did get the game but it had no text which, even though we can't read it, glitches up the games puzzles and what not making it unplayable past a certein point. Please help us!

It's pretty high quality, but MAN does it take up ALOT of space.
1 recording of 15-20 min. can go up to 20-30 GB!

I think what we're saying is that the normal Ao Oni is v3.0 and v5.2 is just a different version. v6.18 is the newest, so we'll be doing that soon...as soon as I am done with my 8 hour math work...yah

quick question.
How do i save the game.
I know HOW to save it it's just that whenever go back to play it again i always start in the beginning again.

You say you know how to save in-game, but don't know how to SAVE SAVE. Well T never had that problem, so I don't really know. There is a data file in the folder that comes with Ao Oni. It keeps all the records.

For some reason it won't work for me! When I try to open the game, something pops up that says 'RGSS102E.dll could not be found.' I downloaded 'RPG maker' first, like it syas in the description.

I have no idea dude. Try changing your Locale language to Japanese. I have mine set to that all times.
If that doesn't work, try going to google and type in the DLL file, there should be a website that should carry it. Again if not, then I have no idea.

if you type in "Ao Oni" in Google, there will be a forum on the 1st link, click that and scroll down until you find the guy who posted an English Version of v5.2

@NellielTuOrdeschvank u can just use the table inside every room i prefer use a bigger table then when the demon is catching u make him go thru the other side of the table and u goto the other side of it then wait for 5 or 8 minutes then get away to that room then when the scary music stops that means he will no longer catch u for now and make sure to save your game everytime u speak to an npc,got an item or get some hint on the next thing you'll do

I had the same inspiration as you, so I decided to start playing this game. My friend is also obsessed with this game, so we played it together. At the tatami room, when the ao oni came out, we had like, little girlish screams... and yeah.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. We got stuck for so long with some of these puzzles.

Um...the game is just called "ao oni," Jikkyou isn't part of the title, and just means the guys were actually playing it for real. 実況 means something like "under real conditions" (ie, they're not cheating, and they're playing blindly).

Where'd you download it? Me and my friend tried to this weekend. We did get the game but it had no text which, even though we can't read it, glitches up the games puzzles and what not making it unplayable past a certein point. Please help us!
