I have an Inspiron E1705 laptop with an Intel Core duo processor T2250 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate operating system, ATI Mobility Radeon x1400 graphics, 17" color screen. Can I play, edit, and upload videos from the Vado HD with this laptop? Also, could you do a video tutorial on how to use VirtualDub with the Deshaker plugin, specifically for the Vado HD?
@TheNorthernSoulKing It was maybe $65 for all the parts. Unfortunately, the websites seem to have gone bye-bye since this was made. All I can suggest is to look around and see if you can find something similar.
Too much messing about ...I bought a video camera on ebay for about $65 US which comes with a much shorter stem and fits to the window in an instant. Thanks for the informative post though (thumbs up)
For sum reason the suction cups seem like they may block your POV..?? Have you tried mounting from the top of the windshield? Hang camera upside down..then flip your video in windows movie maker....Just a thought...Nice Demo tho. what camera did you use to film this?
Very Nice! But my old department made me install a Stalker VHS System with the VHS in the trunk of my Vic and then the whole set up that goes on the headliner using the visor mounts. WOW NEVER install one alone, I did and it gets tiring trying to hold up a 15lb setup while trying to get a tiny screw back in the headliner, then still holding it up while trying to get the other one in.. They should have just bought this. Would have worked much better, and less wiring :(
Where did you buy this camera holder ?? And do you know if this also avaible for digital cameras (not video, peculiar for photos with video function) ??
This is one cool cop!

this helps, but the video was cheesy. I could tell by the music at the beginning and the "hi" lol

you could always mount it upside down, and flip the vid when editing. i guess you would get more free space on the windshield...?

I wish you would go more into mounts, where to get them and who makes them. I guess google will do it. Need more camera views. Otherwise, thanks.

Good video! :) Glad to see your putting these little tutorials up, very useful for those looking to setup this own little in-car camera.
