no wonder there aren't as many tarpon as there once was..because rich idiots who don't know what they are doing either purposly or accidently killing them..tarpon shouldn't be handled like that, and should never be killed..only an a-hole would purposly kill a 20 year old grown tarpon..tarpon are the 1 fish that truly deserves to never be killed, it is the most amazing, unique and mysterious gamefish and it has no food value. they should be preserved for current and future anglers to experience.

There is a Tarpon fish scale signed by FDR framed and hanging(more like bolted) on the wall of the of the Tarpon Inn lobby in Port A.

Very interesting!!! I guess one never knows what they will find on YouTube. I know the president stayed at Tarpon Inn in Port A - heard these stories from my dad many times when we drove past it going to the beach.
