These vehicles can be purchased steeply discounted because a new generation was released and because of the poor fuel economy it has. Think before you buy a QX56----especially if gas prices are a concern.

@pendulumrulez Not quite so, you won't find Nissan Patrol in EU, though they are in Russia and they are massive in the Middle East. In mainland Europe they have smaller Pathfinders and Qashqai more in demand.

the new one is beautiful as these are to, just go sit in a new one, i have a 2004, and yes it sucks on gas, but i also have a nissan titan its gas mile is about the same, and my 97 geo work real well, cant complain about these cars!

Has anyone seen the new 2011 Qx56? Totally ugly. I don't like one bit of the car. This QX56 is a beautiful, big, bold car. It truly makes a statement, unlike the new one that says "Drive me, soccer moms!"

it seems to be well equipped and the engine is refined and powerful, but the interior looks cheap and depressing... the Mercedes GL is way superior at least in this respect and it's probably more comfortable

4 cars? Whatever..go buy a prius or ride a bike. Chris, like your reviews, however, why do people in the midwest and eat coast call SUVS trucks? Trucks have truck beds. Out West, people call SUVS, SUVS and TRUCKS, TRUCKS. Other that than, great review. The 2011 QX56 ( a complete model refresh) now has 400 hp and an even more upscale interior, but a weird front end.

who gives a fuck about the energy and materials used in making this suv? same goes 4 the gas mileage. you can afford the vehicle you can afford the fuel. what a pussy you must be. obviously u aren't a real car guy. oh,and the point of this suv is it's a sweet luxurious full size suv that is made to impress other ppl and the owner and be comfortable and fun to ride in and drive.

5.6L V8 with 320hp, but i swear it has very much Tourque. I mean look to the 1960´s Muscles they had 6.5L enginse with 300hp but over 600NM of tourque. and Torque is more important than Horespower

IT IS A JAPANESE ESCALADE!!! What a beauty! The new QX is simply spectacular, and since it is based off the Nissan Patrol, it now has the serious offroad potential and power to compete with the Toyota Land Cruiser/ Lexus LX, and at a lower price too!
