I know its hard. I am an American Expat currently living in the UK. I started off in Scotland, and I was not welcomed there. Simply just being an American was enough motivation for the Scots to hate me. I wouldv'e rather they judged me on my merits and character--not nationality. I'm living in England which is much better, but I do miss the USA. I have become culture shocked.
