Do you offer any sensors besides Photo and Ion, Such as Heat?
Personally I think a Photoelectric With Heat detctor would give you the best smoke alarm for your money, to detect smoldering, as well as flaming fires.
In recent developments, and from personal experience, I would not use an ionization sensor in a smoke alarm.
They also talk and state alarm location, correct?
(1) The system will operate without the remote, so the user is not losing protection and (2) Order a new remote from the company and reprogram the system.

Yes, the home unit talks and tells the location of the first alarm.
No, we don't have a heat sensor at this point.
It could be about a year before we are in production.

We can supply both the photoelectric and ionization chamber type smoke alarms, depending on wholesale customer preferences.
