  • Going into the new year, I think of them daily.

  • No longer shall the unknown soldiers charge across No-Mans lands into swathes of lead.

No more shall rivers run with blood.

No more will bullets riddle the dead.

By Fire, hell and the angels of death,

    We Will remember them.

  • The BEST OF BRITISH. RIP XXXX

  • From Spain, we stand and salute and thank all those who fell for the cause of the free ... for us. Least we forget.

  • I'm puzzled. I was expecting to hear Elgar's setting of 'For the Fallen', rather than to see Binyon's words and hear the beautiful but unrelated Nimrod. But many thanks anyway.

  • Crying watching this having just heard that another of our (british) soldiers has been killed. 208 of our troops and 1286 in total in the Afghan conflict. Every one of them someones son or daughter, father or mother, brother / sister or lover...so many lives destroyed. Why cant mankind learn the lessons of the past and live in peace with each other?

  • This brought a tear to my eye. The brave men that fought and died for this country and its people should never be forgotten. It was only recently that I discovered my great-great-grandfather was killed at the age of 33, when my great-grandfather was only 10 years old.

  • The poem has been changed for some reason; where it says 'Britain' it's ment to be 'England' as the original and only version states. Nevertheless, brilliant piece of music. We remember them all! God bless!

  • WOW very powerfull and emotional touched me at the heart and a tear shed for all those who lost their lives in the line of duty for their COUNTRY

  • Absolutely beautiful thank you for sharing

  • I wish the UK did what the Menin Gate, Ypres, Belgium, does every single day.

The town stands still every day and remembers.

We must challenge UK education and ensure all our children never forget that without the bravery of the men of 1914-1918 none of us would be present today to enjoy life.

Your children and grand children owe alot to the fallen - don't ever forget all faiths & cultures died for us all at the blow of a whistle.

  • You in the UK are way ahead of the USA. We have forgotten the Doughboys - and it is a national scandal. What hypocrites we are! But bless the boys, all of them.

  • I have lived in the States for 10 years and while I do like the USA some things leave me quite shocked and one of them is how much is forgotten, or indeed commercialized. Most people here in the States will likely remember Veterans Day for the sales rather than the sacrifice.

  • they shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn, at the going down of the sun, and in the morning, WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

  • That's a really good quote!

  • Brought tears to my eyes for those who have fallen and for those who continue to fall god bless you all

  • @Whippetkimd me too RIP to those that have fallen
