  • Wow, watching old Raw vids just makes me sad. Not only because how much talent we have lost but because talent like this just is not highlighted anymore. sadness. But love these vids. Real wrestling.

  • best match on raw ever

  • amazing match.

  • Todays Wrestling All Fake not like those Days 70' 80' 90'

  • Now this is wrestling! The actual sport of wrestling. Fuck wwe and entertainment as they call it. i want to see actual wrestling.

  • British Bulldog was awesome!

One of the best wrestlers ever!

    Period!

These new wrestlers sucks! Randy Orton sucks, John Cena sucks!

Bring back good wrestlers like British Bulldog!

    R.I.P British Bulldog

  • Well this isn't fake or anything...

  • they look effortless out there.

  • is it me, or do the best technical wrestlers die first?

owen, davey, benoit, eddie, hennig, i can go on for years.

i guess those who try their best really punish their bodies the worst.

if i was a wrestler, i'd pull a taker or a muta....wrestle SMART and use

psychology instead. you'll have a much longer career.

  • FUCKING FANTASTIC. R.I.P Owen & Davey

  • back when midcarders got as much respect as the main eventers with talent like this no wonder why and look at todays wwE all the crowd know is cena when booker t returned after 4 years of not wrestling it was the most silent i have ever heard a crowd

  • this was like the coolest title ever and it needs to be back in WWE along with Hardcore title and Cruiserweight title

  • @1337Berlin1337 You got this clip from raw 15th anniversary DVD didn't you?

  • best i've seen in a looooooong time

  • This match was a true gem. Too bad the WWE felt Owen was too small to be the champion; these two guys could have has some great historical matches if they would have let the two of them work together. Who would have ever believed on the day of this match that within 6 years both these men would be dead. Sad....

  • This match was a true classic.

  • Speed and Jumping Match Great !

  • Great PPV caliber match. I remember seeing it live. McMahon was a great announcer. I miss those days. He got so in to it and made it sound so believable that he didn't know what was going to happen.

  • this match took place on the day i was born

  • This is just beautiful. Every time I watch this match I'm blown away by the continuity of these two. Both have fantastic grappling and agility, and Bulldog's showing that you don't have to be built like a truck and only know 5 moves.

It's an insult that guys with half the ability of these two are walking around with 5,6,7 world title reigns or more.

  • 6:17 Awesome

  • One of the best matches ever IMHO

  • You see kids, professional wrestling was once a performance art, and a dawn compelling one at that...

  • wrestling used to be so much better than what it is now.

  • Did bull dog dye or what I miss him

  • @almizyed Bulldog died in 2002

  • This is one hell of a match !

  • Seeing Davey Boy in this part of the match reminds of his younger days when he teamed with Dynamite Kid.

  • lol "Not the Senior tour"... nice jab at WCW there ;)

  • These two were a great tag team, it took the development team to put Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels together to dethrone these two.

I respect both of these late wrestlers, but Owen gets a lot of my respect. He was a genuinely good person. He saved his money, he was making his marriage into a dream, there was nothing bad anyone could say about him anywhere. I mean, the best that Shawn Michaels could come up with was by calling him a "nugget", which didn't mean anything. RIP Owen Hart

  • "Indeed you are not watching the classic sports channel!"

Actually I kind of am XD

  • pro wrestling

  • 2 people who dislike this video are the same people who think Sheamus deserve to be champion.

  • NOW! THIS IS PURE WRESTLING AT ITS FINEST.

  • this is proper professional wrestling, performed by 2 of the greatest of all time.

  • Now THOSE were wrestlers. I bow to them.

Anybody trying to guess why wrestling isn't anymore popular as it used to be back then should watch this match then watch an actual WWE match. Those wrestlers were lightyears over the actual ones, not only in terms of technique and skills (people like Ultimate Warrior, Hulk or Andre never were much good) but also in mic skills, acting and, most important, were HUGELY CHARISMATIC. Nowaydays only old legends like HBK and HHH show that charisma.

  • This is WRESTLING!

  • Great Match! Both of these 2 were at their peak in 1997 fo sho :D

  • that was the best first three minutes of a match i have ever seen... good guest commentator in cornette.

  • @MikeDesadario it's actually the honky tong man

  • Amazing chain wrestling!

  • This match is a work of art. A wrestling clinic for the ages.

  • always knew about the bulldog's power but his tumbling skills are equally impressive

  • @renhoek3

/bc the bulldog was so big, he never got the credit he deserved for his technical skills in the ring, but what ppl forget is that he IS technically, a TECHNICAL wrestler. i mean, come on, he trained with the same ppl owen and bret did, and with them as well!!! of course, he knows how to do technical wrestling. they just made him a POWERHOUSE b/c of his size. Davey Boy Smith is def. one of the most underrated technical wrestlers of the last century. R.I.P. David and Owen =)

  • NOW THATS WRESTLING !

  • geart show of respect

  • wow wrestling was so much better back then wwe sucks now

  • Bulldog was getting ready to turn face after WM13 but would stay heel after Bret formed up the Hart Foundation

  • @CraigJericho

he was technically was alreddy face at that point and was turning back to heel with the hart foundation. they made him a face but owen was a heel, which is why the team had problems. it wasnt until bret reformed the foundation that everybody went heel.

  • The technical wrestling work alone in this match blows away anything the current WWE product puts out.

  • DEFINITELY.Matches like this makes me want to cry.I hope Y2J vs.Edge for the WHC at WM 26 will be like this.

  • @garouboy come on man, you know that vince doesn't give a fuck about technical wrestling anymore; just look at the faggots he has rolling around the ring like hornswoggle lol; wwe died years ago; the current product is complete dogshit; vince, hhh, they can all rot in hell

  • @garouboy I dunno man, most current WWE is shit, but there are guys like Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, John Morrison and William Regal who are fantastic wrestlers.

  • @garouboy You say this as if these matches were common place at the time. Overall from a wrestling standpoint the wrestling is better right now, nothing like this though.

  • @JohnyH better? REALLY? u must be under 14 or mad! the fucking headbangers got a bigger pop than half of the roster 2day and are alot more talent u really gonna compare people like masked kane austin rock triple h mick foley the dudleys kurt angle damn even molly holly to what the bellas? cena? drew mcintyre? sheamus? orton? kelly kelly? haha only talent they have is punk the rest wouldnt even made it as a jobber in great times of wrestling

  • @SpreadingTheTruth88 Are you actually gonna sit there and tell me that Austin and Rock were anything more than passable wrestlers? Really? Masked Kane is the same guy you dumbass. Mick Foley is an okay wrestler, The Dudleyz are not that good in the ring at all, and Kurt Angle goes without mentioning, he's the best wrestler of all time. Triple H is overrated. Bryan, Punk, The KoW, Bourne, Swagger, Ziggler, etc. wrestle circles around most of the guys you mentioned. Promos aren't wrestling dummy.

  • @garouboy Dude this blows away anything outside of a pay-per-view in WWE's history. This is better than Bulldog vs Hitman at summerslam 92, and that match was the best intercontinental title match I've ever seen.

  • Without a doubt, 2 of the greatest wrestlers that unfortunately never won the big one.

  • Babaquice do caralho !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • in deed one of the great moments in wwf.... only possible, because they had the oppotunity of daily team training... and their great trainer... stu hart... all 3 R.I.P.

  • Two of the best ever to never win the big one.

  • 1:17 - 1:20 looooollllll

  • Bulldog used steroids and thats y he died.

  • Bulldog was on the verge of turning full face after WM13,Owen begged him for a rematch for the European Title & Bulldog gave it to him. They had to Owen started getting overjealous of his brother-in-law & went out to grab a chair to attack until you know who came.Could someone PLEASE post that up

  • In the top ten best wwf match easy!

  • holy shit...I have a tear in my eye when I see this...

great technical wrestling at its best...

hey Cena, look at this...this is wrestling!

  • R.I.P both Owen & Bulldog.

  • u just don't see matches like this anymore. let alone wrestlers with personalities.... a real shame. oh well.

  • this raw was sooo weird

  • The WWE doesnt have athletes like this anymore. . . *sigh*

  • Thank you for posting this, it's a great match.

  • is the over 40 club a dig at WCW?

  • wonder why they dont have the european title belt away

  • We all remember how awesome Owen was in the ring but sometimes its easy to forget just how good the Bulldog is in the square circle.

Two legends.. both passed... watching this makes me both happy and sad... It reminds me how awesome they were and at the same time it makes me remember how depressing the effects of the wrestling business can have on individuals.

    I miss wrestling like this.

  • What an incredible technical wrestling match. This is the type of match that makes my top 10 list.

  • Watch dynamite kid vs tiger mask. The brother in laws took some moves from their playbook

  • i can do that flip that british bulldog does after he throws owen out of the ring

  • I seriously remember watching this match in '97, I believe. Surely, this brings back some memories.

  • lacked a bit of personallty tho

he was the only one to bring any meaning to the european belt though

owen was due to be wwe champ the year he died

  • One of the best matches ever in WWE...Sad that both these men would be dead in 5 years...Too bad the entrances were cut 4 this match...CLASSIC !

  • AMEN

  • OMG, BB was agile and shit. Man, the WWE shunned his talent, Amazing.

  • I agree, he is very underrated. When Bret and Shawn were champ and had matches with him on ppv, they were arguably, their best defenses.
