  • Non-newtonian fluid

  • nonneutonion fluid

  • @SadieKawaii yes it will if u leave it overnight like i did it becomes chalky

  • @SadieKawaii Yes it does dry. Its often used for gravy's and cooking. Hope this helped :)

  • We did this in school a couple of weeks ago. It was fun! We were getting it all over the floor and we had a fish tank to our it out and stuff. It was just messy fun!

  • Now what would happen if I poured it down the drain? I guess the world may never know!

  • Will this dry out

  • too much water

  • LOL 00:25 - 00:32 WTF

  • would they need to seriously hacksaw ur drain out? water goes down it wouldent it eventually erode it all?

  • it is called non-Newtonian fluid

  • i poored it down the drain a few weeks ago! UUUHHH OH!

  • Ohhhhh..... I just watched this after making a huge thing of this and i pored it down the drain..

  • For those who wish to make this themselves, the proper solution is:

    10 parts cornstarch : 1 part water

Use this formula for the best results. Thumbs up so everyone can see!

  • @enlowmation then , no glue right?

  • @enlowmation what do you mean 10 parts

  • @101zack7 It means any measurement you use, applys to the formula. Like 1 spoon full of water to 10 spoons full of Cornstarch.

  • @enlowmation what do you mean by that? im ten years old and im trying the experiment now.

  • I used to play with this all the time when I was a kid. :D I'd add food coloring, too!

  • IT'S OOBLECK!!!!!

  • I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ITTTTTTTTTTTTT! AHHHH

  • works with baby powder to!

  • brb im just gonna go pour this stuff down the drain

  • My science teacher did this

  • u can put that stuff down the drain u just have to add more water

  • that`s cool (Y)

but now i go to wash my kitchen ...

  • My 8th grade science teacher did this. By the end of the period his classroom was white

  • My teacher showed me this in school!

  • FOUND MY SCIENCE PROJECT

  • I MADE IT YESTURDAY ITS SO WEIRD

  • What if you filled a pool with corn starch

  • I think when I was like 8 I figured this out myself, I remember I was bored one day so I got some cornflour and mixed water in it, then I was like wow and ended up splatting it on the wall in my tunnel thing next to my house, it's still there now! :D

  • It looks like baby vomit

  • @Tonyp97

    congrats :)

  • I've pored this down my drain, but first i mixed it with alot more water until it litreally is just cloudy water, when its really liquidy it dosent do anything

  • it worked

  • i had to do this for science of spring break

  • i tried this with corn starch that was organic and it didnt work. do you know why? and yes it was 100 % organic my family has a company that makes 100% organic flour.

  • Woops I pored mine down the drain

  • @mrbenzo123 you best be joking...

  • another way to make slime is with sodium borate solution pva and diluted paint

  • more fun than play-doh

  • In Australia and New Zealand it's called corn flour.

  • made a ton then ate it it tastes bad

  • Has anybody used liquid nitrogen on this yet ?

  • i did that in 3rd grade and some guy ate some!!!

  • @HariPuttar1 YUCK!!!!

  • There only playing.........:(

  • she looks disgusted the entire time :P lol

  • Umm......aren't you going to answer him/her, @Stevenspanglerscience? You know, "What would happen if you froze this?"

  • ooblek

  • is cornstarch expensive?

  • @proskillz89 no, its a food ingredient, why would it be?

  • what would happen if you froze this?

  • @creapyninja7724 i tried that nothing special happens u just get a layer of ice outside the regular mix / water expanding past starch/

  • Do u sell cornstarch on your website? if u do then do u ship to new zealand?

  • i used to do this all the time

  • SMACK IT!!!!!

  • its cool!

  • That's Oobleck.

  • im making this now

  • Shes enjoying that white stuff.

  • its a non-newtonian fluid

  • We called it oogblech (note that the "ch" has a german pronounciation.) when we were in the 4th grade. I <3 being advanced lol

  • Its a sola-squid

  • ewwwwwww i love that hahah she would love gooey white stuff

  • woah, that blew my mind away...ow

  • usually when I'm done with this , I would put lots of water on it so it becomes like diluted? and then I throw it down the sink

  • I call it oobleck. I also did a video about dancing oobleck. I'll try to get it up on YouTube. :)

  • Well you could just put some chicken in it :D and fry it up or shrimp and BBQ so it is no waste

  • I remember doing this in science last year! I couldn't keep my hands off it! My science teacher had a hard time getting the class under control afterward.

  • this is called ooblec right?

  • How would you clean this off your hands?

  • @random8275947 no dye:water dye:toothpaste and water

  • @random8275947 let it melt, or scrape it off with your other hand...

  • ahh i hated doing this it made a mess and i accidentally put to much water and the goo dissapeared in the water or something like that

  • i saw it on ellen it was totally funny!!!!!

  • good video but u can put it down the drain... u have to mix more water in so the ratio changes and the mixture is just a liquid.

  • You can walk on it! It was Myth Busters :D

  • i think steve has a crush

  • i have a face

  • no you can put it down the drain cause i put a batch bigger than that in it and mines fine

  • I did this and the next day it was molded :(

  • u can keep it in the drain just add more water once your done :P

  • you could just leave the cornstarch goo in the bowl or what have you if you are done playing, and then wait for the next day. the next day the cornstarch goo will be a solid, then all you have to do is take it out (mine has a bunch of fault lines in it) and then mix it with water again, so it's reusable

  • wait how do you wash your hands if you cant put this stuff down the sink????????????

  • @TheMcdog2 i was wondering the same thing..i guess just rub your hands fast to it becomes solid and quickly get it of yo hands...

  • you can also add a lot of water to it and it won't get stuck in your drain

  • mythbusters

  • if you eat it you have a stomach of steel for a while then a hard time pooping

  • HURRAY FOR NON NEWTONIAN LIQUIDS :D

  • Cant pour it down your drain eh? Oops...

  • Can you do this with potato starch?

  • @Sonia789789 Yes,you can!!!I know becouse ive done it with it!!!

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa you

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh crap i did this and when i was done i put it down my sink but the good news is that when i was done i put a bunch of water in it to

  • i did this at my friends house

  • @danceluver55 me 2

  • I did this for the science fair and science project. try leaving it for a few days and smell it. Good luck.

  • i did that in my science class the other day

  • COOOOOOOL!!!!!!!

  • thatt is so cool

  • COOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!

  • Its new newtonian fluid, not some "cornstarch goo" ... -.-

  • not new, but non-newtonian

  • cornstarch is weird
