  • omg thanks sooooooo muc man

  • Dude, YOUR A GOD! mine did it one day, i watched ur vid, blew into the hdd slot without taking it apart, turned my xbox back on, and whalah!! Thank you! Tip- if this happened to you take off your HDD and turn on the xbox. If your xbox turns on fine, you know its your HDD, if not then ur screwed, ur xbox is the problem :/ hope this helped any of you with this problem! :)

  • i simply removed this connection.....removed this connection......god dammit.........hold on

  • "I removed this connection....removed this connection...dammit!" Hahaha

  • I FUCKING LOVE YOU!!!

  • i hear a fish tank am i right :?

  • if i tried to sell my broken hard drive could some one fix it and take my memeroy and my profile? they would get my credit card number if they got my profile so i really need to know!?

  • none of these show u how to fix an internal hard drive i need my internal hrad drive fixed! my external one is fine!

  • dude i love u so much u dont even no it didnt work at first but sure after trying million of other videos i tryed this technique again and it worked! omg thanks so much bro <3

  • My last screw got stuck. :(

  • Ahh, its just like the good ol' days of NES

  • ive had the e68 error loads of time i only just turn off my xbox then turn it back on when its cooled down which is bout 10-30 mins {depends on how long ive had it on for}

  • the thing about the e68 code is the hard drive itself and not the 360 right?i got this error code recentlyand i dont wanan lose my saved data especially since i got a 60 gig

  • My hard disk clicks at the beginning and then comes of the Error 68

  • @1994t3chn0 ya same here

  • @BlackDevil491 i have now a new harddrive it works, can I save with the transfer Kit there still what? So memory points ....

  • Nice vid worked great thanks a million

  • lol one quick question if you discovered that wouldnt it mean that you had already fixed it?? hence how did you get another e68 if you had already fixed the hdd??

  • "blew into the connectors" yeah man NES-style! is that why you tried it? anyway after a tense 20 minutes it worked! you can imagine how happy i was. Now i'm trying to backup my files and promising to NEVER monkey with the memory unit while it's running. Thanks a lot! :)

  • WORKED!! Thanks dude!!

  • hey man i did this exact thing u showed, but it still dont werk any advice? cus i dont feel lik buying a new hard drive >=l

  • @sk8rnyc I have a second video on fixing this error code that you can try in my profile. If that doesn't work, then there is no other choice but to buy a new one. Sorry mate.

  • lol anytime now, god damnit

  • Thanks Man, This helped me out alot, i can play Halo: Reach again :D!!!

  • It works that you can return onto the dashboard but it doesn't fix that you HDD is broken anyway. After going on the dashboard at 2:20 there are no profiles on your HDD so it actually means that it's still broken, am I right?

  • @lilphil99 If you actually took the time to read the description of my video, it states that this is a Brand New HDD just bought, so it doesn't have any Profiles on it yet.

  • @Bass145db Oh, ok. I did read the description... but didn't get this fact. :p

  • Thank YOU!!!!!!! I apparently bought from the same Ebay vendor oyu did, because my HD (Seagate 20 gb) looks exactly the same and I had the same problem. Your fix WORKED. I thought I got screwed on a cheapy Hong Kong HD knockoff, but apparently...there's just a lot of dust in China clogging up connectors on Xbox HD's. Thank you for saving me from sending back this damn thing and wasting shipping $.

  • @cockeyedproductions you know Hong Kong is its own country, right?

  • doesn't this ban you from xbox live for "modding"?

  • @Flamable3000 This is not considered "modding". This is simply fixing what Microsoft couldn't build right.

  • Ha! the Blow Nintendo Cartridge Style fix!... now only if I could get someone to 'Fix' me!

  • 1. Never buy a hard drive of Ebay! its just people making money of broken HDs!

    2. NEVER hit your Xbox 360! It will only do harm, Xboxes are not built to withstand physical abuse.

  • Thank you so much this help me

  • mine makes a screeching noise but ill try this

  • my hard drive makes a strange ticikng noise while being turned on can anyone help

  • You are a P.I.M.P!!!! Xbox works like a charm now!!! I haven't played this damn thing for 2 years because I thought it was toasted!!

    Thanks brotha!!!

  • i wounder what he did when the camera was put down

  • oh my god your a freaking genius..it worked..hell yah dude..you ever need modding done you hit me up

  • I used to wait as the Xbox was starting up, then put the hard drive in while still showing the xbox logo and it would work, but it takes a few tries. Then, it stopped after so many times.

  • i Had Sex with my Harddrive and it fixed from the Sperm Now i can get baby harddrives now!

  • it do not wrk by me!!!!!!!

  • it doesnt work bro!!!

  • dude i have the same 20 gb as yours i did the foil and i blew on it aswell and mine still comes up as error 68

  • didnt work :(

  • hell yeah it freakin worked !!!!!!

  • wow haha he threwit out the window but thanks man when i get up next morning ill try this because i have the E68 error. ill try the tinfoil and blowing it out i hope it works also the xbox scratched up my mw2 game looks like im going to have to buy a new one if your ideas work for fixing the E68 im not gonna through mine out the winodw like the other guy, He prob had like 2 hard drives and switched them to show people what to do.

  • lol 1:11

  • my hard drive is plugged in my xbox but when i turn it on it says i have no storage device can anyone help me?

  • @blik789 If your Xbox 360 is saying that it cannot detect your HDD, then it most likely means that the connection somewhere in between the HDD and the Xbox 360 is broken. Take apart your HDD and make sure the cable inside is fully connected. If so, try a different HDD to see if it works. If so, then the HDD itself is completely broken and cannot be fixed. If the Xbox 360 does not detect another HDD, then there is something wrong with your Xbox 360.

  • i have a hardrive that looks just like yours... the only problem is that it doesn't work at all no matter what i do nothing works with mine.

  • @MrTiopio If nothing seems to be working, reformat it on your computer and see if that works. If not, then the HDD is just busted.

  • Okay, you are a life saver.

I unplugged it and blew on both plugs, and it works now!

    Thanks so much.

  • ima have to try this i tried the foil junk that didnt work for me.. so if i do thi s how long do you think it will stay workin properly or should i just leave the harddrive sittin on top like yours

  • Yea, I tried using the fiol as well and it did not work for mine either. After doing this, it worked fine until I removed it and placed it on another Xbox 360. If this does work for your HDD, put it back together and leave it connected to the Xbox 360 unless it really has to be removed.
