To be just means to give our excess wealth, in excess of our true needs and not wants, desires, comforts and conveniences is a basic requirement of discipleship with Jesus, These clowns who tell you otherwise are hocking God's Word and selling a false Gospel for a Prophet, oops I mean profit, they will be answerable to Jesus on the day of Judgment and the just will rule over them

This is a beautiful song but anyone who thinks singing lovely songs has anything to do with refining fire is deluded. Its to do with having your heart broken, having your world torn apart, being brought to your knees in desperation and being confronted with your darkest, dirtiest secrets. To sing this song is either dangerous or meaningless.
I really like the way youve put it...It is such a very emotional song for me and I believe it should really only be sung from a heart that is truly humbled and poured out, when the undeniable truth within you cries out in desperation for Jesus to rescue them as you let down all guards and surrender all you are to Him.

There are times in our lives when we need the refiners fire. I know that when I am in the world, it seems to infect me. Gets in my heart and can cause hardness. The Refiners fire can burn away the impure things. Do you think about the line set apart for You Lord, ready to do Your will? I do. Makes me ask for forgiveness.

Your totally right, Truster. No one has ever said living a Christian life would be easy. In fact there will be a long list of trials and hardship that awaits us. The thing is everytime these trials appear before us, we are to stand strongly in our faith, knowing that Jesus will strengthen us in these times of hardships, doesn't matter if it's big or small.

I wish I could sing this song and mean it. I used to be able to but I feel like a hypocrite now. I still go to church but I just cant seem to engage with God anymore. Everytime I try to I lose it again shortly after and then I feel like Im back to square one again.
Oh well Im sure it will all work out in the end but I just feel like the world has its grip on me and I cant seem to reach for God.

Brian is the boom and he is a really really cool guy i have had the chance to meet him and hang out with him and to just talk and all that and he does a lot of good outreach and that is one thing that i think is the best. When someone is made holy, ''set apart'' that's it. It cannot..... in the legal sense' as in justification..... be added to or increased.
Noah was set apart as was Abraham as was Huw.
Paul called himself a wretched man and added when he tried to perform good, evil was right there with him....indwelling sin.
Salvation is not a single event in time it is the beginning of a process and it's by grace we are saved...not by our own choice.

Man has no free will in the matter of salvation or sanctification.....only the Eternal Almighty has free will.

God chose Israel to be a special nation, but frequently commanded that they sanctify themselves e.g. Josh 3:5, 2 Chr 29:5 etc.
We are partners with God. There's the legal aspect God declares that makes it possible in the first place, then there's the practical outworking which we do with the help of the Holy Spirit. Like Paul wrote in Phil 3:16, we are to live up to what we have already attained. God will never bypass your human will.

Brian is the boom and he is a really really cool guy i have had the chance to meet him and hang out with him and to just talk and all that and he does a lot of good outreach and that is one thing that i think is the best. I have seen him live like 7 times now and man is he good and so is tutor he plays the gutar for brian

My choir sang this song, and I had a lot of solo parts in it. This quickly became one of my favorite worship songs, and I still listen to it because it really blesses me. Amazing song!
