you should see taipei, the capital. there's at least a hundred nightmarkets, maybe a dozen really good ones. they usually start at 7 or 8 pm and are open until the sun comes up, whch is usually 4 or 5

M16s? crazy! in japan, police have guns (but undoubtedly there is a lot of paperwork to use them); they will yell at you... they can hold you for about a month without pressing charges and will constantly interrogate you and can easily deport you. but of course in regular cases, they ticket you and it doesnt take many tickets before you are forced to go through expensive traffic school

to be honest, coming from England myself, having police without guns really makes a lot of sense...... but you have to bear in mind the fact that nobody has guns. they are illegal.

as soon as everyone has guns, and law enforcement people have guns, it becomes one big ridiculous ticking bomb. sooner or later people are going to use them...... so why not just get rid of them entirely? lol.
